My Dad's been using this quite a bit - he seems impressed - said that if he hadn't spent all that he had done on MS Office he'd dump it completely and just go with Open Office.
Re: Anyone else use Open Office instead of Word/Excel/etc. ?
I tried it a while ago (the Linux version) and switched back to MS Office. MS Office gives me more productivity and functionality I need beginning from shared calenders to team work with Share Point Services (if used with Windows Server 2003). I can see if you only work occasionally with documents or spreadsheets Open Office might do it for you, but not if you are using it in a productive environment. My opinion on this.

I've tried it couple times and it's very good.

never heard about it before... looks cool though
Re: Anyone else use Open Office instead of Word/Excel/etc. ?
I installed it after Office refused to install. Works fine for everything, except I made a powerpoint presentation which refused to run when I had to give a presentation as part of my course. And the spreadsheet was taking 20 minutes to load rather large data sets which loaded instantly in Excel. But since that won't even install I don't have much choice.
