firefox glitch ?

i'm using firefox 5.0

sometimes i'll be browsing a page, and click a link to bring up an info window (for example: i was on the GoPhone website yesterday trying to purchase a text message plan, when i would click the link to 'buy now' firefox would completely shut down)

it's happened with other sites/pages but that's the most recent

anyone seen this problem?

wondering if it's a problem with the latest version of firefox as i upgraded a few weeks back when prompted.

this is affecting my girlfriends job, as she does a lot of her work on this computer, so i'm trying to resolve the issue fast before she loses any business or vital info.

throw your computer out the window.

or use the latest IE. its works fine and exactly the same as firefox with the tabs and the downloading and whatnot.

she's been using IE for a couple days because of the firefox problem. i suppose if things work ok in IE she can continue to use it, but she even reported some of the sites she needs for work perform better in firefox, so i'd like to get it running properly again.

thats was Fez suggested, with one exception... install a previous version.

i got it for wmc this year. it comes in handy when you dont feel like paying a monthly phone bill.

ahh, yes i'm on 2.0 or 2x, or something.

when i click on Help > About the first thing it says is mozilla 5.0

I have had weird issues with Firefox for a few weeks now on my Mac. I will click on a link or a favorite and it will hang. The screen turns white with no loading...no matter what I click it doesnt change. I then have to do a force quit and it works fine. LAME!

True. The same firefox release here at work on PC NEVER has issues.

there are huge improvements between ff2 and ff3.... less memory used and faster than IE7, give it a try.
