Re: VW Scirocco

They are actually only made here in Portugal, at a plant not far from here, amazing site by itself.

Also, the entry versions won´t actually be too expensive, at least by Portuguese standards, a bit less than 26.000 Euros gets you one 8)

Re: VW Scirocco

Rather have the old version, the new version just looks like most other small cars tbh.

Re: VW Scirocco

That thing looks sick. They respectfully updated the design of the original into something I can foresee doing really well. That is the first new car that has come out in years that I can actually afford and would want to get.

[s]Edit: Just read- apparently it looks too similar to the gti and they fear it will not do well therefore it will not be available in the states.

Motherfuckers.[/s]

Re: VW Scirocco

Believe it or not, my colleague is actually working on a Dutch digimag on the Scirocco for Volkswagen -we've been at it for more than 1,5 month now. I like the new look...it's definitely a good looking and sporty car. I'll be doing the launch mag for the new Golf, which IMO is nothing new...

Re: VW Scirocco

i absolutely adore the VW Scirocco from the late 80's. I learned how to drive standard in one of those. Great car. I wish i could find one used, in good condition here in Can.

#1086219Post 17 of 26

Re: VW Scirocco

I use to love them back in the 80's. I had a Golf, then I got into vintage VWs... Oval windows & such. The new one looks nice.

Re: VW Scirocco

40K?!!? You may as well get a Audi A3. Looks about the same size and I'd rather be rolling around with 4 rings on my car than a vw symbol. 8)

Anyone know the specs on this new Scirocco.

#1086317Post 23 of 26

Re: VW Scirocco

Guys, calm down, like I said car prices in Portugal are way higher than usual in Europe, let me put it this way, this makes the entry level Scirocco as expensive as a medium-equipped VW Golf, by our standards.

As for the new Golf, I actually got an invitation to go to the presentation in Berlin later this week, but I can´t make it... :(

#1086374Post 24 of 26

Re: VW Scirocco

Well WV has always been higher on prices for their smaller cars. For some reason the Golf costs as much as the Jetta and the Jetta has way more space and comfort.
