Re: Mdma
In my opinion, MDMA would only be a short term solution for PTSD. The long term negative effects of using would far outweigh the positive short term effects. Trust me. Most would say that they are glad that they tried it, but wish they wouldn't have done it so much, as it has messed them up in the long run.
Re: Mdma
who would not a bit of ol MDMA for the workday and then crank up the MCast all afternoon. Sounds good but isn't this country overally drug dependent already?
Re: Mdma
this isnt really anything new, there were case studies of this nature back in the 60's and 70's

Methylenedioxymethamphetamine!!!
Re: Mdma
Pure MDMA is a lot different than the little pills everyone is familiar with. Proven therapeutic effects for over 40 years and is more of an emotional stimulant than mind warping hallucinogens. I'm not a psychologist nor do I play one on tv but it would seem to me that getting past the inital blocks for disorders like PTSD would be the key, not daily use for the rest of your life. It may not be right for all but if it helps any it should be researched further instead of enduring an unreasonable societal ban like witches in Salem.

Re: Mdma
Nice study - nothing like MDMA to get you back to the working environment !
Re: Mdma
Was watching a Terrence McKenna video where he said there are substances in NUTMEG that were the precursors to MDMA. Said he used to do it in High School and would have very colorful experiences when he would awake the next day.
Re: Mdma
some universities are putting folks thru fMRI scanners while on E. to look at area's of activation etc I want to know how they keep them still enough!

I read about nutmeg too, but you'd have to take obscene amounts of it for anything to happen I think.
The whole problem with these research or health issues of MDMA stems from the shit that is on the streets. Ecstacy might be the street name for MDMA, but the two substances are a world of difference.
Obviously no one in the past decade has partied with real/pure MDMA powder, so while all Ecstacy users might say they wished they didn't go so hard back in the day, we hardly provide a good sample on the effects of long-term consumption of pure MDMA.
That said, MDMA in this setting is used as a tool to help people in therapy, which is quite different from dosing them every week, locking them up in a overcrowded room with epilepsy-inducing lights, and subjecting them to loud music.
Unless therapy includes playing Xpander and letting them cry it all out

Some folks were walking through our camp at burning man one morning with bottles of champagne and orange juice giving out mimosas to the masses (God I fucking love that place) and we decided that molly would make the mimosas be even better.
We were right :)
Re: Mdma
^^^^ nice! i love mimosas during wmc for THAT reason
Re: Mdma

Re: Mdma
What's mimosa?
Re: Mdma
I must say that if I have to choose, and I pretty much do, I will take Burning Man over WMC without hesitation.
I can't recommend it enough.
Re: Mdma
i imagine its like night and day.. i would love to experience it, but since wmc is within 4 hours by car or a 45 minute flight, i take what i can get :)

Ah I've seen my friend order that, and variation of it that's peach with champagne?? But never knew it's called mimosa, or maybe it goes by a different name where I was.

Your body cannot distinguish between 'natural' and 'synthetic' drugs. They're all just chemical compounds, it doesn't matter whether they were synthesised in a plant, or in a factory.

That and I'm sure the doses they get aren't cut with ketamine, lsd, or speed. :D
I wonder if they still use gas and kerosene in the manufacturing of medicinal cocaine?

AKA Bucks fizz (in the uk anyway).
Re: Mdma
why is that most of the worlds mdma is made in the netherlans and barely anywhere else? is it difficult to produce? i guess you would have to be a chemist to know what to do.
Re: Mdma
I always thought mimosa was a food! ahahha - if someone had said bucksfizz I would have know better.

Re: Mdma
back in the day, after a long night of MDMA "sugar" powder induced dj sets (Sasha, Slacker, Seaman, Quivver, Diggers, Jimmy Van M, Luis Diaz) at Groove Jet on Miami Beach, FL - we would take boats and jet ski's and go down to the first Key and sit around all day Sunday drinking Mimosa's and eating stone crab claws.... oh I miss those carefree dayz.
