i was talking to a friend recently and she had mentioned how rowdy the English get when they're on holiday. and today i saw this. have the British eclipsed the Americans as undesirable tourists?

As far as I'm aware, we've always been the worst behaved on holidays. I'm usually embarrased by fellow Brits abroad and tend to avoid them at all costs. Having said that, the kind of places I've been on holiday (India, Croatia, Malaysia etc..) are not the places these morons go. They prefer places near the Med where they can read all the signs and shout at the locals. These places are getting a battering form ignorant fucks, and I'm not suprised the locals are getting pissed off. Before tourism hit them they lived in a nice, quiet seaside town and now for 4 or 5 months of the year they have to put up with drunken tossers wandering about ebing obnoxious.

Having said that, views like this are just ignorant:

LOL... I've run into many Brits in Spain and they were lovely; however some of them were not so nice to ze Germans & the french. :D

Basically brits fall into two categories ... the cultured ones (about 20%) and the ones with th small island/us against the world/we used to have an empire and hate johnny foreigner types (80%).

The latter are generally very very working class, and only go abroad because the weather back home is always crap ! Because we are worked so hard in th UK the annual holiday is a release when people behaviourally "anything goes".

the expense is just to much over here, for a decent straightening of teeth ur talking £2000 plus, its outragous and most dentists wont take nhs patients now so everyones left to pay for it themselves
