Charissa (DJ Rap) asked me to post this:

On Oct. 18 Josh NYNEX (Josh Atchley) from LA & Offworld Records broke into Charissa's studio/home in LA and took the following items. There is strong belief that they were sold to someone in AZ recently.

The items are listed below:

• 1 G4 Power Mac
• 1 G4 Power Book
• 1 Ipod
• 1 17 inch plasma display
• 1971 US Blond Fender Stratocaster Guitar (we feel he kept this item for himself)

Now here is the big problem. All of Charissa's songs for her upcoming new album and lyrics she has been working on for both the new album and other projects were on these computers, along with a variety of personal items like photos, emails form family and friend and such.

I'm not going into how low this action is for someone claiming to be a musician to steal from another is just shocking and repulsive.

Anyone who can offer any information please contact me (see below) and I'll forward it on the Charissa. The fact that 4 years of her life and artistic creation has vanished which in turn may deprive us of ever hearing her new material is just sickening. She wouldn't be so upset if it just a computer with some emails on it but this is much more serious since those computer contained her blood, sweat and tears.

I don't have to point out to some that this happened to BT a while ago twice. Once he lost several finished songs that we will never hear, however the second time someone returned all his items after posts were made all over the internet. So we have hope Josh and the person in possession of these items will do the right thing.

Shame on you Josh! Serious... Musicians stick together as family with a unified mission.

A mate of mine in NY got 1000's of dollars worth of records and cd's and headphones etc.. stolen from his office. I would feel absolutley ill if that happened to me.

I hope this gets sorted out, and she gets her stuff back.

NYNEX sucks... I was actually given that CD mentioned on Amazon.com free just for showing up at Tranceformation 2000. That's people from Arizona for ya.. fucking thieves and bitches through and through :Bingo: . I'm gonna keep my eye out for this shit.. I'm sure if it's gonna turn up anywhere it's in this transient crack town. Big ups to all my other thieves and killaz from tubescon!

Nynex has also worked with Mea and I think they colloberated together to do her album that's supposed to come out. I hope for Rap's sake she is able to get her stuff back and in the future she should backup her work and store it somewhere away from her studio. I wonder what Rap did to make this guy want to do break into her house and steal her stuff like that.

I first met Rap a few years back while we were still doin the "rave" thang. She was super cool and casually chill. I bumped into her again earlier this year in Park City, UT and as always, she is freakin dope to kick it with. I sure that whoever did this will simply return the gear taken. Im sure that if he simply left it somewhere for a pick-up, nobody will care about pressing charges. She simply wants her gear back, and understandably so. She had all of her new junk on her laptop. What kind of heartless music hater would do such a thing. Sure, she was once replaced mid-set by someother DJ cause she was too hammered to play. (t/w all over the place!!!) But she is a good person. A good DJ and a saint.

Really sorry for her loss but as swedetech mentions, how about backing shit up? If I had a bunch of new tracks for an upcoming album I would have backed it up in triplicate, off site, in fire proof safes or whatever. To have your shit stolen while your working on a album would be a very off chance occurance, but didn't it cross her mind that her harddrive could crash? :Down:
