hey , has anyone heard of this yet?

it washed ashore in montauk long island a day or two ago, (montauk is the eastern most tip of longisland, east of the hamptons)..... no one can figure out what it is? there are a few conspiricies out there, the most viable being a viral marketing campaign.

Re: the montauk monster-- WTF is this thing?

i heard in the news earlier, that theres an island near the hamptons, where they do animal research, and they were saying that this could be something resulting in some weird animal experimentation/breeding

dont know, but it sure looks weird as hell.

Re: the montauk monster-- WTF is this thing?

William Orbit made a tune called "Montauk Point" If you havent heard it, listen to it..

Montauk has a messed up history as it is..... They say some strange research has gone on there..

Check this out for more info...

Some messed up shit to say the least if it is ever proven to be true...

Re: the montauk monster-- WTF is this thing?

yup, after ww2 the town had an abandoned airforce base there that was used for domestic defense during ww2.

story has it ,..... the phiilly experiment, which was fairly well known as industry funded, ran out of money and the gov't wanted to continue the research of electro magnetic feildxs on humans and living things, so they moved there.

later, the experimentation with magnetic feilds lead to sci fi research, which is where the time portal nonsense came from, well eventually they began testing heavily on wildlife and left joe blow alone. but honestly, this thing would have to be upwards of 40 years hold for that to be true.

the town has since become a tourist hot spot and amazing beach destination for us long islanders. its very populated there.

Re: the montauk monster-- WTF is this thing?

Gotta love all the "evidence" that pops up surrounding unexplained phenomena. 1000's of blurry UFO pics and we still can't land any definitive proof.

The biggest mystery to me - if this is not a hoax - is why the hell would ANYONE who has a camera able to capture such a freakish beast, not take more than just one photo. If I saw this crap lying on the beach in the middle of the day, I would fill my camera/phone with pictures at every available angle and every available distance. What kind of moron would snap a solitary picture of something they believed might be an abomination of nature?

Whoever took this photo, if it IS a real photo, probably realized exactly what it was, but knew a single snapshot would leave much more room for interjection and imaginative speculation. Enjoy your 15 minutes!

Re: the montauk monster-- WTF is this thing?

if shit like that really happened, i would call the NY post first. that tabloid would send a chopper out. and if anything, i would grab a garbage bag and take the fucking thing to a place where it could be dissected.

lmao. i love that racoon overlay.

I read that book to bro. A friend of mine went out to the Army Base that is there...or what is still left of what was there. He was talking to me about why the Army would wanna protect a base like that when it has been abandoned since the 80's.
