Re: Again... an interview with sasha
I hope Involver get the grammy nod - would be a great start for the new category.
Re: Again... an interview with sasha
cheers.
nice read.
hope good old sasher?s gets the grammy. 8)
Sasha's overated now imo.
Re: Again... an interview with sasha
Is that a broken record I hear?
Sasha is an increadible DJ / producer, but I think its time to move away from the mega-dj's and start looking at the new crop rockin the dance floors all over the world... J.Z. for one!

well, it's the mega dj's that are making edm more popular, but then again, the new crop of dj's are amazing too.

I'm quite sure Sasher's not gonna get the grammy, it will go to BT ot the likes... :Rolling: But maybe he'll get nominated at least.
i didnt read this, but it is possibly the same interview going around like his infamous year long promo on every show in every continent? you know the one, you've prolly downloaded it named as 12 different things.
Sasha's overated now imo.
Oh jesus, Sasha is overated now is he? since when? you care to elaborate a little more?
Re: Again... an interview with sasha
and another harmless info thread fades into the eternal struggle if Sasha is the reincarnation of Jesus or the worst DJ ever seen on a turntable....great. :Bullshit:
Sasha's overated now imo.
I wonder why you bothered to read this topic... Did you read the interview too?
I hope he doesnt get nimonated for a grammy, and that is NOT a knock on Mr Coe. Grammy's are for fucking bad boy bill, and moby, and BT... fuck the grammy's

Good call, lets keep it underground :Bingo:
Re: Again... an interview with sasha
Sasha is overground for many years now... No need to deny that. Nothing wrong with it either.
I think sasha needs to stick to cd or vinly decks. No computers. I think djing with computer is pointless. Yeah you can remix on the fly whic really cool but the fun part of djing is being able to spin good tracks and altering them ur way. Plus I think computers take the mixing out the picture also. So a dj can just pick 20 trakcs and put them in a order so they sound good and just cover it with effects. What is the point. Bad move by sasha. Just my opinion though.
Re: Again... an interview with sasha
People tend be afraid of what they don't know, i mean afterall it's the music that's more important then the way it's delivered imo.
We could hear great things in the time to come, look at what live remixing does for JZ's sets.
And i don't think turntables will go out of the picture so soon, i think that the pc/mac will just be an addition... there are so many dj's who don't work with computers in their sets yet.
I don't think it will happen overnight so there's nothing to worry about i see only good things comming
Re: Again... an interview with sasha
Now its Sasha's fault for being nominated for a grammy now
If he was after the fame thing why is it that he prefers to play smaller clubs?
As for the lap top thing ... just imagine - 30,000 tunes accessible at the touch of a button - at least it will stop those posts about repetition and lack of originality

 Don't worry, i hate that damn track as much as the next man
Re: Again... an interview with sasha
Not only does he deserve it, why wouldn't he want it? That recognition sells cd's. He's done so much for the music and for the kids on the floor. I do miss the 100% vinyl sets though.
Re: Again... an interview with sasha
What is this "laptop fever" of Sasha? I prefer much more DJs playing vinyls. If sy wants to remix sg, do it in a studio perfectly, then release it on vinyl or cd and let djs build it to his own sets. Lots of dj could play interesting sets without laptop and live remixing. That's my opinion.

Well someone like Zabiela doesnt use computers, and maybe for a live set thats alright despite the occasional computer noise dragging on & oN & ON, but ... if youa re going to buy a cd I think its worth it having the effects.
