The first electronic music gathering of its kind in the middle east lining-up more than 30 Djs coming from different countries and backgrounds, Psyleb is proud to unite more than 16 genres of electronic music

The DJ’s representing their record labels originally from Ibiza, Greece, India, Paraguay, Belgium, USA, France, and of course Lebanon will be performing throughout a non-stop 3-day journey surrounded by Psyleb’s psychedelic, colorful, handmade decoration in the wild natural environment of our green forest in the Chouf area at the location of the well known eco village.

Detailed plan for the 3-day festival:

-Friday, the 22nd of August: doors open at 12pm: attendees will be able to find their preferred spots and install their tents.

-Friday at 8pm: official opening ceremony of Forestronica featuring a live instrumental band of tribal instruments and exotic percussions.

• 9pm: Sultan'system kicks off the journey Throughout the 3 days, an alternative/ chill out stage will be available for the dreamy ones as well as meditation and yoga tents to release and leave behind the daily stress of life.

-Sunday, the 24th of August: 8pm closing set featuring special guest DJ + closing ceremony.

Facilities available on site: -Camping areas (bring your own tent) (free of charge) -Available tents from 10 to 15 people each (5,000 L.L Per night / Per person) -Mud houses & Tree houses (10,000 L.L Per Person / Per Night) PS: Mud and Tree houses come with Independant showers and toilets. -Organic food and drink bar (Price list on site, very pocket friendly) -Organic restrooms, showers and dressing rooms -River -Oil massage and aqua detox -Art workshop

Site is accessible with 4x4 cars (No On-site parking) and for those who are into hiking, or prefer to take a shuttle bus parkings are available at 4 KMs from the location (Around Dmit Municipality & Dmit Highschool, escort to parking spots will be provided)

Ticket prices for the festival:

-Pre-sale 3-day Pass (From July 15th till Aug 15th): 37,500L.L

-3-Day pass (At the door) : 45,000 L.L

-1 day pass (For Sunday 24th aug starting 5:00 am): 22,500 L.L

PS: Number of Tickets Limited to 500.

Now this gig is pretty different and special: First coz it has been organized by the PSY crowd, and we all know what kind of crowd the psy are, pretty nasty...and the party will take place in the middle of nowhere in nature so that no "unwelcome authority" would show up, and this freaky festival will take place for 3 consecutive days...lol (DAMN!!! :twisted:)

Second, most of the local djs will be playing on 2 different stages (Main stage & Alternative stage). So you can imagine what happens when hotheaded djs are put to play together in the same place, you know that mentality ("i'm the best" or "I wana kick their a$$" kinda dj talk...)lol. So I am expecting most of them to come up with their best music and techniques, which leads me to believe that it will be a HOT HOT crazy thing!

Many are already contacting me to inquire about this gig, especially after Pappa's gig's success...I will be playing a 2hrs set on the Alternative stage.

Now I would like to document this gig as well, visual & audio, but I am kinda reluctant in taking my laptop in the middle of nature in such an environment; We will see what we can do about it, but the pix & vids are coming for sure 8)

Back to life... :D

Friday night, packed my stuff and headed towards the "Eco-Village" place at around 22:00. Few other cars with friends met us on the highway, and we followed eachother to the location of the party, which was somewhere really lost inside the back-valleys of the mountains of south of Beirut, called "Shouf". We got kinda lost a few times in the villages up the mountains. Almost run out of gaz during the trip as well, but were lucky to find an old man who opened his gaz station for us just to fill us some gaz (at 2:00am). Before getting to the right spot of the festival, we had to do some off-road for like 15min. Got there right on time to setup my stuff and start my set. Really nice setting!!!

I mean wow; this is one of the reasons why Lebanon is considered to be the capital of EDM in the arab world: The organizers, psyleb.com, started this whole idea few years back now: A community of psy djs that organize a 3days festival non-stop. They started this few years ago as a dj within the student community, and since then it has grown year after year.They usually choose some locations that are very remote and hard to get to. I was very impressed what they managed to come up to this year, the venue was really well chosen, deep in a valley they managed to setup 2 stages with small different selling spots of spy artistic items (hand-made), a small bar and the tents area of course and even rest room areas, well thought, well planned, really well done! If you would go there, it was to stay there for the rest of the weekend... Music non-stop for 3 days on 2 different stages, the main and the alternative. I didnt expect to see lot of people of a friday night, the opening night, coz many had work on saturday morning. Anyway, got there right on time, played my 2 hrs set, friends and fans were there. We all had a good time. I stayed there to listen to local djs, and was not surprised to hear some really good stuff all night long, on both stages. Whether it way psy, prog, techno...it was ALL DARK and good quality, no commercial whatsoever!!! Good quality of many genres put together. I was glad to hear all that, its like being proud of having that level of quality music and parties in the middle-east, here in Lebanon! I guarantee you, you don't find this kind of party anywhere else in the middle-east (except Israel maybe). Well done guys!!! At around 8am, we tried to chill in one of the tents, but we could not really enjoy it coz we would hear the sound of the 2 stages playing together. And listening to 2 different songs being played together would not give you the musical joy you would be searching, it's a musical mess!!! That was the only "mistake" of this party (imo), the stages were too close to eachother, sometime the main stage sound would cover the alternative sound etc... At around 10:00am Saturday, it was time for me to get back home....long drive to do to get there. The party is still on as I am typing this, and I am sure it is very much crowded, and with lots of fun and good time, all in a peaceful harmony (you could just feel it)... This country, not matter how much negative image it might have abroad due to its recent past, it still holds some magic that you could experience only by living it, cant describe it by words, a bit like in India (Goa) or Thailand... ^ Tnx Chanty! Yes it was really a special type of event, not the usual concert..thank God they do it only once a year...lol. The ducks were really awesome, the best thing to hang around while good music is played loud on an after.
