^ they give more form time to time, about a month ago they gave everyone 6 invites more.
Just wait, they'll come, you'll see a link on the left saying that you have x invitations to give, and on every mail you reply you'll have another link to send an invititation to that person.

its not that it has anyone by the balls.. it is a free email service that gives you 1 gig of space, and you can send 10 meg attachments.. it is just better than hotmail, and yahoo. it is not open to everyone yet, so they ofer invitations, thats all.

if you give an invite and the person doesn't use it, are you out an invite? If so, I might ask for an invite just so I can keep one less person from using GMail 8)
Anyone notice that when you send a gmail invite to someone and they sign up and use it, you dont "lose" the invite you originally sent them? I am supposed to have 5 left but the one person who I sent the invite to signed up and it went back up to 6.

the moment you send an invite your invite number decreases in one. so if you don't type the address correctly, or some server is down, or the account's inbox is full... you lost it :?
