The last Space closing I was @, the wife and I spent over 1,500 €at the bar... No "e". It would have been cheaper than drinking. We were there for over 18 hours I believe.

Nah, 15 € for Jack & Coke, or Vodka Energy Drink. They get mad when you ask for Vodka Redbull. The drinks are wee and they add up, well the tall thin glasses they're in, are deceiving. I don't know how many cigarettes we smoked too. :shock:

Exactly Greg, and at €1.20 to the pound it'll be even tighter this summer ... suppose you've got to do all you can to save money elsewhere:

e.g. If you're going to Pacha there's a beach bar in Talamaca (behind Ocean Drive Hotel) - get the €1.20 boat from ibiza marina to the drop off at Cafe Sydney and hit the beach bar - massive shots and strong cocktails for pence (plus the bar tender was drunk last year and can't keep a track of your tab).

Then it's a 5 min walk to Pacha saving a cab fare into the bargain !

Last year, they put sasha on first, for the EM, I'd bet they do the same for JD this year.

I recon they will broadcast an hour from each room. Going backwards and forwards. Last year the Essential Mix was broadcast on Sunday mornings. Are they going to broadcast it live or the following week?

Oh the memories ... crawling out of Space in daylight - its funny, the cab-ride is always quiet, because you've gone from a loud frenetic club environment to a peaceful ride home, and then you reflect on the events that have just gone before.

Sasha's '04 birthday extravaganza left me ina daze, but with a look of bliss and total satisfaction on my face at 8.00 a.m. after I'd digested the best set I'd ever witnessed.

At times like that its not about the money, and I'm sure Hypo will agree - when its magical, the experience lives with you forever, and you can never put a price on that regardless of travel costs and bar bills.

Walking out of there @ 8:00 AM after an epic night is PRICELESS! It's my favorite club on earth. The terrace of old, and that main room are the bee's knees!

When I go I'll be surprised if I spend 100 euros in there in a day, regardless of the drink prices. I don't do drugs so no need to spend on that, and I'll be too busy dancing to be at the bar every 15 minutes. No matter how good it is, I just couldn't lay down that much cash for a 'night' out.

At least you get far larger measures than you do in the UK, so a JD & C lasts a while and you don't need too many. Bottled beers and water are priced just plain silly !

Yeah he'll probably play out the SW4 set. Im not going this year - no bedrock tent therefore i cant be bothered. Diggers will probably only get an hour on the main stage

I've decided all my mates aren't doing SW4 this year. So i thought fuck it i will go this instead. Just booked a long weekend in Ibiza. Digweed Saturday and Space Sunday. Cant wait. Its my first time back since 2000.

Good choice .. I'd been eying it up myself (but the rest of the bill with JD put me off). Regardless Diggers @ amnesia should be a collectors item !

You'll notice that the Space Terrace (rip) has changed - Paul Oakenfold's playing it on the Sunday, which should be interesting. If you are still there Tuesday pick up a wristband and catch Carl Cox early on for his Terrace set (get to Space at 10.30).

Just playing Carl's Terrace set now ... awesome !

Yeah i was a big Oakenfold fan years ago, so i don't mind to much. They have Lawler and Nic Fanciulli at space as well. Its Space so i don't mind who's playing. I will stay at Amnesia for Digweed and then go get some sleep

I opted to stay in San An as I'm flying back Monday night. I want to head down Kanya on Sunday morning before Space. Then Monday i will try and get some sleep during the day as i will be driving back from Gatwick on my own.
