i like this one... i have liked their albums more with each one that comes out.

can definitely hear the eno influence on a lot of it, very atmospheric. props to them for continuing to develop their sound imo... they could have easily made 6 albums just like parachutes and the masses would have lapped them up.

thats exactly what i thought too, U2 copycats... and i cant stand u2 either... man especially this new ad they have for their album on itunes, i thought it was u2 at first

Bought this on Friday morning. Im not normaly one of these dicks who say "Album of the year etc" but this actually is the album of the year!

Not one hit single on this, but the whole thing is incredible. You can spot Eno's touch on it as well - the guy is a legend.

Get out and buy this, now.

oh and i used to hate u2 for a long time also until i started actually listening to their music. last 2 cd's from them are amazing. buy their vertigo tour dvd from chicago, awesome shit. i think they are coming out with a new disc later this year and i am going to be buying tix to see them at the united center for damn sure, got to catch them live once before i die.

very good, album of the year, not sure.. but yes i hear eno touch, doesnt come close to a U2 sound a like IMO.. thats just a fuckin laughable comment.. if anything i hear more of an Oasis touch

Heard this album last week on the way to a festival in my mates car. A couple of tracks stood out, but on the whole i thought it was terribly bland.

The next CD we listened to was the Vampire Weekend album - which was fresh, exciting, quirky and included some genius lyrics.

So do yourself a favour, if you want to buy a CD from a band, go buy Vampire Weekend instead.
