Re: Sasha's interview ==> Involver 2
thanks for sharing, look forward to hearing Involver 2.. but from the sounds of it, it doesnt seem to be as forward thinking as the first, we'll see tho
Re: Sasha's interview ==> Involver 2
got my attention if it's got telefon tel aviv on it, even though i don't like what sasha's been playing and producing lately
What about as a producer are your techniques changing? I went out and bought about $2000 worth of guitar pedals and ever single sound I've got has been processed with a guitar pedal...
how innovative! i wonder if he ever used the cry baby wah pedals....lol
Re: Sasha's interview ==> Involver 2
are you being sarcastic? lol I think guitar pedals might give it a very interesting twist. I just hope the mix doesn't end up being way too much minimal.

no...thought it was innovative and really some great insight from sasha.... i believe his is refering about regualr guitar effect pedals....flange tremolo vibrato overdrive distoration ect.
but lol a wah might work...hendrix style
Re: Sasha's interview ==> Involver 2
Pedels in the right hands can be awesome - check out Bill Frisell or David Tornl
Re: Sasha's interview ==> Involver 2
Hmmm doesn't tell me much about the album TBH.
listen to some sigur ros if you want some new sounds from a guitar. if involver 2 is half as good as part one it will be a great listen in my book.
Re: Sasha's interview ==> Involver 2
bill frisell pisses all over sasha
Re: Sasha's interview ==> Involver 2
Interesting interview but why the crap layout? Surely it owuldnt take much to paragraph the Q&As..
Anyway, what sort of stuff is this Bill Frissell then?

Pics or???? STFU??? :p
Re: Sasha's interview ==> Involver 2
don't need pics, he got videos.
And BTW, I didn't think anyone would ever mention Frisell's name on here. Pretty wild it has finally happened.
Don't forget, before all his newer work, Frisell played a lot of great Jazz stuff with all his many bands including the Ginger Baker Trio (which was awesome BTW) and even before that he was doing music with John Zorn and all his many bands including Naked City.
Highly recommended.
Re: Sasha's interview ==> Involver 2
i hated naked city, noise noise noise. but! the motian/lovano/frisell trio is one of my favorite groups.
Re: Sasha's interview ==> Involver 2
thats actually really cool to hear him talk about running through pedals, get a lot of great sounds that way
