gutted about this avid fan of the cattaneo shows!! what kinda fee do you think he pulls for doing the radio show??? 2ndly do you think other stations will be chomping at the bit to get them on board to do shows??? and with the weekly slots??? Jesus why did metrodance have to go out like that they could of weaned us off a bit slower i feel a cold turkey coming on!

wow...I believe I speak for all of us when I say: this is not a positive thing :)

ok really...it sucks. would be really neat for them to come and do their mixes exclusively on MCast, but I imagine there would definitely be a bidding process to win first. but you gotta think they are going to turn up on the air somewhere, that's an awful lot of exposure as a musician to just let go!

This sucks - probably boils down to selling advertising slots - maybe EDM doesn't get the listeners and generate revenue. Hence Kiss100 fucking around with Diggers friday night slot in 2004.

We need to wait till everything is sorted..Hernan knows we are here to support him but Metrodance was a terristric radio with lots of listeners so we need to be patient and see what happens in the next weeks.

I went to see Hernan live last nite and he rocked the place ....5hrs of solid beats ......At the end i asked him whats goin to happen after metrodance sudden closedown and he said that in 3 weeks time we ll know ,,,,,,he also signed me a flyer for Mercuryserver :) I think we should start donating Mcast !!!!

in his website in news says "Metrodance FM is not in the air at the moment, so there will be no SQ shows. More news here soon"

Shit. I visited metro951.com last Thursday to look for Martin's show. It redirected me to this new crappy blue corporate website. I tried several times and was like, hey this is not right. Then got a bad feeling. So it is true and official.

Don't fret too much. I have seen this kind of thing happen before in major cities where a super dedicated cult following loses its beloved station. Usually, 6-8 months go by and boom, one of the other stations has a format switch and plays REM's "It's the end of the world as we know it" all weekend for 72 hours straight. From what I gather, Buenos Aires is one happening place with hoardes of clubgoers. Look at all the EDM forums there are just for Argentina. And they all have shitloads of members. With all that talent down there, this just cannot stand.

Are any of these stations dedicated to edm? X4 Radio 104.3 FM Buenos Aires Caseros Radio 91.5 FM, Argentina or Radio 99

Maybe its a pop/rock station that plays EDM late night. That's my guess. My Spanish is kinda rusty so I am not really sure what the site says.

Was listening to Deep Mariano and Cattaneo the other day and just thinking to myself, how the hell do these guys manage to play the music they do on their radio shows, and the stations keep them on, cos we will never ever get that over here.

maybe proton / frisky / mcast can join hands to keep those tunes playing !!! shuffling their sets each week... or something like that...

Personally I think that ,if I been playing a set each week for 7 years or more recording becomes your routine!!! we can offer them to play not every week, but 2 times or once a month.... to avoid making it a hard work!

I'm clutching at straws... but how about some sort of a petition? Something that we can support the argentinian guys with. I can't understand spanish but maybe a coordinated effort over with our friends at groovesite might help?

Gutted to hear about Metrodance, but I'm trying to look at the positives. An enforced break from Hernan might be good for me - I was listening to a hell of a lot of his shows and to be honest I was probably becoming 'immune' to them, if you know what I mean. Maybe a return after a short hiatus will reignite my love for EDM......

Very sad news...metrodance was a shining beacon of hope for most of us, and for all with an ear for progressive sounds. The base for the progressive movement. I am truly very sad to see it go. I hope something will make an effort to replace it , although I don't think that the void will ever be truly filled.

A sad, sad day! RIP metrodance and may u rise from the ashes like a phoenix so that we all may enjoy your sweet, sweet song again. :)

i really havent been feeling hernan show the last year or so........its garcia shows that i will miss the most. its a shame really. garcia really has his own origianl sound.
