My vote goes to

YAP on Digweed's 95 EM Satellite Serenade on NE1

I keep forgetting how good YAP sounds until I hear them again. Incredibly unique, the picture it paints in my head. Almost like a bedtime story until the next track comes in and you're

And Satellite Serenade is lush and scintillating. Too many acid comedowns with it 8)

Anything else? Maybe Imagine on GU Sydney, love the bassline on that one, sets up a good pace.

Re: The best intro on a mix

That'd be Prague. Is that Nalin & Kane Beachball? Or was Beachball the second track on it? I loved Beachball.

Re: The best intro on a mix

Yeah, sander did wicked intro's for his essential mixes. MIAMI MIAMI etc....

Jon Lisle's Original Series CD - The bladerunner intro thing

James Zabiela usually has wicked intro's - the one that springs to mind is his 4.1 CD 3, with pete tong talking about acid house warehouse parties :-)

Re: The best intro on a mix

Oh yeah, Sander K's intro on his EM, the one with the girl reading a poem or something, that was wicked. As was Sasha's street bums on SF. Don't remember Bladerunner on JL's OS though. Don't remember Zabiela's intro either, but he is very cool with all the voiceovers, like the recent one using Stranger Than Fiction.
