I came upon this article and I thought to myself... how much would I be willing to pay for a Pink Floyd Concert... I mean if they do come back and do a reunion tour and jam like they did in the past.... I would have to go, even it was 250 bucks for just Pink Floyd themselves... Here's the article: http://www.rogerwatersonline.com/graphics/q_reform_for_tours.jpg

what do you guys think?

Re: How much would you pay to see Pink Floyd

fuck man.. id probably pay $250 if i could afford it at the time. that would be an amazing thing to see. i remember some old geezer i used to work with tell me about how he saw pink floyd, the beatles, and someone else (possibly the who.. but im not sure) play a festival in london for a quid.

#275791Post 3 of 36

I'ill pay 250 bucks but if I were on first line or a better place, you know.

#275795Post 4 of 36

Well whatever they charged id pay. The closest ive got so far to seeing was thier tribute band a couple of months ago. Off the Wall are a bloody good band who do Floyd stuff like i`ve seen the real Floyd do in videos.

Come on boys, get together for just one more time.

#275798Post 5 of 36

Original band: I'd pay body parts...

Nowadays: I'd pay pretty decent money...

#275802Post 6 of 36

$0

#275809Post 7 of 36

same here..I'd probably get my tickets for free

working now for rock/classic rock radio stations, ooo that'd be one hell of a promotion to run...

Seriously if they came back on tour, tickets no doubt would be jacked to hell...and people would pay for them. :Bingo:

I was lucky enough to see them at the OLD Tampa Stadium, the big Sombrero, for the Division Bell tour. What a F-ing amazing show! I paid, get this, $55.00. The seats were about at what would be the 30 yard line, about 40 rows back, and the stage was in the end zone. The pig blimp and 80' stage in all its glory.

Oh yeah, the ticket included a bus ride to the show, we met about a 40 minute ride away. On the bus they were playing the Delicate Sound of Thunder video, and passing around endless bottles of liquor and beer, along with all the weed you could smoke. I will NEVER forget that show.

If you have seen the video for the Earls Court show, thats the track list. The Pulse cd is very similar.

In answer to the question.. I'd pay big.. chances are it wont happen though.

Re: How much would you pay to see Pink Floyd

I would honestly pay whatever I had to . . . that's what credit cards are for! I was supposed to see the Division Bell show in Tampa, but I took a summer job up in Ohio and couldn't make it (I had already purchased tickets for my friends and I). So, I happened to be out for drinks early one evening in Columbus, and people were all over the place obviously scalping tickets for a show. Out of curiosity, I approached one and asked who was playing--turns out it was Floyd that night at Buckeye stadium! So, I start walking towards the stadium with a friend, and we find a scalper with two tickets "somewhere on the floor" for $55 each. We took a chance and got them . . . only to be escorted by the usher to the second row, practically dead center! I won't even bother trying to describe the experience . . . those who know, KNOW. 8)

I'd pay anything to see them live. That would be so fucking incredible!

#276017Post 16 of 36

hmm.. i would love to see them if they toured again... since i have money now, i dont think id have too many issues with paying 100-200 dollars per ticket... havent been working quite long enough for the 200+ range to not sound painful though

#276018Post 17 of 36

Re: How much would you pay to see Pink Floyd

I am pretty sure they will do it, or it might just be wishful thinking.... but i mean $100 million in one year.... holy shit... i'd hella do it, settle the differences with the band and get the money soon after, then retire again into a rich and lavish lifestyle with no worries at all..... not that they probably are doing that already... but they owe us the fans a concert... its the right time to do it too right at their anniversary... If I see Pink Floyd in my lifetime I'll die a happy man.

shaving your balls: $0.00 free

watching a high school football game: $4.00

getting your rim polished in an alley by tomtom: $15.00

seeing pink floyd do their thing again: Priceless

Re: How much would you pay to see Pink Floyd

Pink Floyd, one of my all time favourites,I saw them once do about an hour or so with a lineup including the whose who of UK rock - Paul Mcartney,Genesis,Eric Clapton,Jimmy Page & Robert Plant,Dire Straits,Tears for Fears,Status Quo and Cliff Richard. I paid approx $40 for this lineup back in 1989.

Re: How much would you pay to see Pink Floyd

Watever they ask 4 i will pay it, it's ma dream to see Pink Floyd life and i really hope one day it come true.

#276152Post 21 of 36

I would pay a lot to see the orginal lineup play. I would be at lest 250 more than 400 though. But still a lot. Pink Floyd is awesome. One of the greatest bands ever.

As they say in Spain, nada...

#276191Post 23 of 36

Are all the original members of the band still alive?

To answer the question; I would pay 200-400 dollars per ticket.

Re: How much would you pay to see Pink Floyd

I don't think I would pay at all

$0

#276261Post 26 of 36

Re: How much would you pay to see Pink Floyd

This is definitely one band I'd pay top dollar to see. I didn't get to the Divison Bell tour but friends of mine did and said it was phenomenal. Pink Floyd actually cares alot about their fans and put a lot of effort into the whole "experience" from stage decoration, etc. so it's more than seeing a band play music... Even before the performance they messed with the crowd with piping in various "white noise" sounds through the arena speakers - in the Philly show they did...

#276262Post 27 of 36

I agree, bands like U2 charge $100 a ticket and sell out faster then most, but Pink Floyd would definetely be a band I'd pay that price for. I have really wanted to see U2 also since forever, but can usually not afford it when they're in town.

Re: How much would you pay to see Pink Floyd

if they would do something along the lines of pulse, i would give my siblings into servitude, sign my house over, etc....... cost wouldnt be a problem.

#276280Post 29 of 36

Re: How much would you pay to see Pink Floyd

although good, i am not a huge fan, therefore i would not pay anything to see them, nor would i want to go to their show.

#276383Post 30 of 36

I would pay $200 tops.

#276386Post 31 of 36

Re: How much would you pay to see Pink Floyd

I was too lazy to read the link- is this for real?? It's a pretty well known fact that Gilmour is rather greedy, but I can't see them ironing out their differences. I would only pay $250 tops since I've seen them before although it was without Waters.

#276403Post 32 of 36

I was lucky enough to see them in the Alamodome on their Division bell tour as well. I was only 12, so at that time I didn't realize how special that night would be. I am 23 now and after all these years, that is still the best concert I have ever seen. They will always be my favorite band

#279271Post 33 of 36

Re: How much would you pay to see Pink Floyd

I didn't even like the band until I first saw them. I was lucky enough to be in Venice 1989 for a school art trip when they played on the lagoon and I've been a fan ever since.

Paid through the nose to see Roger Waters at the Berlin Wall too. The music was a bit of a let down but the show was good. Pulse at Earl's Court was IT though. I knew all the songs, the sound was great and what a show. One of the few gigs where the best seats are at the back of the house.

cheers, RH

Re: How much would you pay to see Pink Floyd

It would depend on the line-up... I saw them once over a decade ago at the Rose Bowl in LA. The music, the imagery, the show - absolutely everything was mind blowing about the experience!

Re: How much would you pay to see Pink Floyd

i think they should do it some place special....like around the pyramids of egypt or in front of the taj mahal....somewhere really unique, like pompeii....
