Re: Florence, Italy

its a beautiful city, there is a lot of non tourist stuff to do. i only checked out one museum and Michelangelo's David for a day, the rest of the time just walked around and enjoyed the scenery and the little flea market they had.

especially the italian ones!! too much passion or latin blood or something!! means they can be stroppy tightly crossed legged bints (remember they have to fend of the italian staliion). but hey who doesnt like a challenge! its all in the game play!!!

either way, hit me up when your here. there is much drinking and partying to be done!

Hey dhar, we probably gonna head down to venice one weekend, although probably packed with american cunts im sure, its a must see/experience.. I really do despise tourist bs so i might have to ask you dahr where some good local place to eat and chill are in venice and also if there is gonna be any decent house music there.

Re: Florence, Italy

Florence is a busy city, packed with tourist, scooters and smog. Grab a bus and go to San Gimignano. Ive been to many places in the world, but this small hilltop town will forever be my favorite destination. Be sure to grab a bottle of some good Tuscan Chianti. Damn, Im jealous just thinking about it.

Re: Florence, Italy

try the wineries in the region. there's more than just chanti to the region. banfi's was my fave when i went, but only because it has alma mater ties. food-i know this sounds cheesy, but read some travel guides. rick steve really has good taste, albeit expensive taste. and for bang for buck places that's also yummy, the kids who write let's go never disappointed. there's way too many places with ristorante or such written on them with huge signs and you can really waste a whole lot of time with mediocre food if you aren't careful. of course, you have to try the gelato. there was a gelateria right off the piazza where the duomo is that is really good. and yes, there's way too much touristy stuff, but you should totally take advantage of all the renaisaance art that's in the city. not just the david and the uffici, but all the landmark churches and piazzas. and walking up to the top of the duomo was worth it just for the view. and shopping. this one is probably for your girlfriend. designer shopping as well as trying your luck at the markets. nightlife is pretty healthy there in case you wanted to know. i only knew of the bar nightlife though when i was there.
