I don't know if this is a good idea or not, but its an interesting concept. Certainly a better alternative for smokers who just can't seem to quit. But who holds their cigs like that?

And if i was out rocking one night with one of these in hand, I'd so try accidentally light it with a lighter.

true its not something youd see someone bring out with them, but if at home and trying to quit, it may be very handy

i once worked with a dude from belgium and was using that thing non-stop ... a bit of a mind fuck seeing him putting that thing which looked like a pen in his mouth and exhaling smoke

In theory, is should lack the bad effects of smoking. No tar etc...but there is other stuff in that vapour that could potentially be carcinogenic. They add tobacco scent or whatever, which who knows, could cause cancer as well. It seems that anything done is vast amounts causes cancers these days. Hell, eat enough tootsie rolls and you'll probably get colon cancer.
Someone with lung disease might have problems with this as well. Inhaling (water) vapor will affect the partial pressure of O2 in the alveoli. If someone already has impaired gas exchange, from say a pulmonary embolism, this could further exacerbate their hypoxemia. (sorry just finished my the lung unit in class 8))
