they rush this bill through to get the economy "stimulated" and now we have to wait 4-7 months in order to get the damn thing.

makes absolutely no sense.

these kinds of stimulus packages can have a beneficial impact in less extreme economic circumstances, but given the magnitude of this oncoming correction...I think this is less than a drop in the bucket and really won't do shit. It's all about politicians trying to cover their asses as best as they can.

And if you could have held on to that money, you could have invested it and over the long term earned probably somewhere around historical market returns of 12% (plus or minus a few). This is the dumbest idea ever! The United States is already trillions of dollars in debt from prior poor spending management. This is nothing more than an election year bribe of the American people.

If they really wanted to do something, how about starting with tighter regulation of the lending industry.

i got my paper in the mail a few days ago that talked about these checks. it said the payout will be UP TO $600 for a single person, now this also pays out in relation to what your income was for last year too.
