We here in Melbourne got a very special treat last night! :D John Digweed in a small intimate club setting with him setting the agenda :D One support dj , Sean Quinn. It was amazing !!!!!! He sort of faffed around for a bit but when he took off he really did. Third time I've seen him and first time I've really "got" him. I believe it was recorded :)

The event was semi secret, dance sites etc, so everyone was there for him!! All this for a measly $15 :lol:

Details , He played for just over 4 hrs , first 2 hours good, last two hours absolutely sublime!! :D It was all the better because it was packed, but the crowd had thinned by then ! Room to really dance!!! There were a million cameras so I think there will be pics I'll post when they come up. All in all a legendary night I think ! :D

I saw Digweed at Ampersand here in NOLA last year. It was on a Sunday night and the crowd was weak, but seeing him up close and personal was a treat.

Was an awsome night. We were like 1 metre away from him.

Still can't believe that Digweed rocked up to a small, dark club with a kick ass sound system and delivered an amazing 4 hours of deep, dark and dirty basslines.

It felt as if a violent tornado had ripped through the club then just simply disappeared. Was like " What the fark just happened here tonight."

The way the whole gig was put together, really gave it that underground feel. I mean bugger all advertising and on a Wednesday night.

It's been a while since I've been really rocked like that.

Definitely one of the best set that I've ever witnessed.

Would love to do it all again.

The set wasn't recorded, I came in with Sean and was up at the booth when John came on, nothing was ever plugged into the mixer and certainly wasn't while Sean was playing.

I was standing right in front of him and watched as he calmly unravelled a cable which was connected to a square like gadget and he then plugged it into what I thought was the mixer.

This is when I turned to Didi and said to her that Digweed might be recording his set.

He looked at whatever it was in his hand and fiddled around with it for at least 30 sec to a minute and placed it down near the mixer.

Not wanting to argue, just telling it like I saw it. :)
