I can't seem to find a sample good enough to scratch with using the EFX and was wondering if anyone might be able to help me?

it's just white noise that all scratchers use. Boring old white noise. It's not that hard to make your own. Do you have any music software where you could make something like that?

Let's see, I've got reason and live6. Haven't started messing with the two of them (although it's my new year's resolution)...can I use them? Or should I get something else?

Have you looked around on beatport under djtools?

A search for 'white noise scratching sound mp3' brings up quite a few matches on google.

yeah reason and live will do it for you, but also Live by itself will do it for you. Just get into the Simpler.
