It's seems like there was so much buzz about WMC for the last 3 years on MS...are people not excited / looking forward to it this year? I remember there was tons of postings in the past...

I bought my plane tickets yesterday. The Mansion event should be pretty cool. I have some vids from last years event that I never uploaded. I should probably do that soon...I've slacked on that long enough! :roll:

No Pawn shop gig for Digweed this year. He's playing at a new place called the Vagabond near downtown on Saturday for WMC. It's the old I/O lounge that I never made it out too. I'm guessing that'll be the show we get to talk about and listen to instead of the Pawn shop gig the last few years.

I was at Pawnshop last year and didn't like the club at all...pretty lame imo. Space would of been ideal.

im going this year...although to you guys it may seemed to not be as hyped, i find more and more regular people that have heard about it, wanting to go...wmc talk really started after the new year...

^^^ this is why i always ty to find the obscure parties and late night carry ons, and stay away from the ultra fest, space, mansion type stuff. hotel, pool and rooftop parties are where its at for me.. with the occasional club event like porterhouse or panwshop parties
the worst year i remember was '04 or '05 when black beach week was the same week and it was in sobe instead of further up the beach where it normally is, the tension was unbelievable and all the cars driving around pumping garbage rap and dirty south style garbage.. gas stations only letting in two people at a time.

I predict the best wmc in a while, and I am a local..... great underground parties in downtown every night and day cause of 24hr license .... parties kick start late AM and explode at sunshine
Keep your self out of space / mansion / massive events and the choose the right music ...

wow i couldnt imagine how shitty that wouldve been...and i agree, wmc is just a regular week of club nights without the hotel day parties. it actually helps create the hype/buzz for the night parties.
its basically about a week where time has no relevance(other than what time sasha comes on) and sleep is of no importance.which to me its really just about the music.

I'll be heading that way...the buzz for me is out of control. I'm really having a hard time choosing which parties to catch. There are tons of smaller venue parties that have stellar talent...

I had a great time. Although I was burnt out after 14 days worth. This year I'm going to take it easy and stay for only 9 :p

I'm staying at my friends place. He lives right off of Lincoln. I'm uploading some vids from Sasha and Digweed at Mansion last year. The quality is so so. I think I'm going hd camcorder this year...if I can buy a small one.

and
March 27 The White Room (new club near 14th I believe) - AVA Recordings Party This will be the big one playing with Andy Moor, Leama, and others from the AVA label...should be fun :)

I heard 2 of the better parties will be the Hope Records party with 16 Bit Lolitas and the Sander K. and Matthew Dekay event. Only rumors, don't know if confirmed.
