Re: Sasha - Ministry of Sound London anyone??
I thought it was brilliant. I didn't think it was that busy compared to Fabric. I stayed in the main room all night. Sasha banged it out all night all the people i saw seemed to be having a great night. Didn't see any miserable fucks like you get in Fabric. Didn't notice any hen nights or tourist mooching around. I cant remember enjoying a night so much for years. The toilets are bit of a pain although i only went in there twice all night. And they should allow smoking back in clubs at least it covers up the smell of people farting all night
Re: Sasha - Ministry of Sound London anyone??
He was meant to play a 5 hour set
Re: Sasha - Ministry of Sound London anyone??
Wow, sound like a great night. Sasha seems to be on fire now a days. just wish he would come around and play.
Re: Sasha - Ministry of Sound London anyone??
I went to Ministry Of Sound for the first time in years, and for me it was just awesome. Even after all these years he still pushes the boundaries. He mite not get it wright every time but when he does its just incredible. Ive always felt with Sasha that his music is always about going forward and not looking back. He drops the old classic every now and then, but normally its done very discrete and some people don't even notice it. I totally understand why hes still at the top even after all these years.
Re: Sasha - Ministry of Sound London anyone??
Glad you enjoyed it Chunky - although the Bedrock board mentions three things that are a concern:
*He started 1 hr 20 mins late *Sasha came on at 3.20 a.m. (that only works if you are in ibiza .. or there is a decent bill) *Words like "techno" "minimal" and "repetitive"
Re: Sasha - Ministry of Sound London anyone??
Yeah he was late on the posters in the club did say 3 am although my understanding it was going to be 2. I couldn't be asked to watch Scarlet Etienne so spent a few hours in the bar. He was in real techno territory but i didn't mind that. It worked for me anyway. I have to admit i preferred his techno sound a lot more than that electro he was playing a few years back
Re: Sasha - Ministry of Sound London anyone??
At least he's been in the studio too - involver2 should be interesting if it ever sees daylight.
Re: Sasha - Ministry of Sound London anyone??
i really enjoyed his set and the last half hour of Scarlet Etienne who was playing Tresor sounding techno....his mac crashed half way through and he still kept it going...i thought he played a full on techy/techno set and kept taking it up and down....the music in the bar was fucking awfull...worst music i've ever heard whoever booked them two clowns should hang themselves.....why not have Ian Ossia or Nigel Dawson in the Bar...its a Renaissance night FFS
