I'm thinking of changing Virus checker...

Any recommendations? (of course Norton doesnt count in this as it is generally, well, shit ;))

I've currently got McAfee VirusScan Home Edition v9, having a few probs with updating the virus update. So might just swap it for something else, but what?

hmm, guess i'm not covered with Norton then.

but it's all ive ever used and i've never gotten a virus.

maybe it's because i stay away from the german pee sites.

For the office, Symantec AV CE really is a god. I have it on my home LAN due 2 not wanting to have 6 pc's all getting the same update.

Symantec for home usage is also tops.

Re: Recommend Your Virus Checker

nod32 crushes norton. it's not bloated and doesn't hog up resources the way norton does. it also uses a more intelligent method of figuring out what is a virus and what is not.

check third party review organizations who evaluate the different scanners for how effective they are, consistently nod32 comes out on top.

PC-Cillin by Trend Micro. Seems reasonably priced and the only time I ever got a virus was when my pattern file was out of date...
