95/96 Oakie was good, check out some of his essential mixes from that time (yes i said good).

Oakenfold_Live_at_Shitfestival_20_Sep_2004.mp3 is floating around I believe. Actually it's a 3 hour set...Tiesto and Darude opened for him.

i sugest you stay away from oakenfold if he comes to your town, you dont miss anything exept a lame performence from an overrated dj who once promiced to be a good one but failed to become one due to his financial intetrest

Reminds me of this Circulation set I have off of MetroDance 95.1. Oakenfold is doing a quick plug for the station "Your listening to MetroDance 95.1, Argentina's best dance channel." Except he sounds like he's doped up on Heroin, or just being a total ass. Probably both. While I'm thinking, what the f#$@ are they thinking letting him do a plug for them. Almost ruined the whole set for me, but thankfully Circulation rules enough that the tracks kept pumpin. It was like they knew they had to bring the tempo of the set back after Oakenjoke had a word.

you should save your money and not go. save it and buy some bucking young man that butt plugger he's always wanted. i gaurantee it'll be more fun than the torture your ears are about to suffer. throw some disposable razors at him too. :P

hmm I wouldn't call him overrated at all since everyone agrees that he sucks anymore.....

oakenfold still deserves some amount of respect he was a great dj but lost his vision. He started making pop and changing his style to try and "conquer america". I don't know where "financial interests" come in to play maybe you know something I don't. You obviously haven't heard any of the old em's where he made some truely classic sets. I think I'm done kicking the man because clearly he is down.

Agreed! If you think about it the reason people hate him so much is because he promised so much which shows what he did/could have done.

I've seen him a couple of times and he is by no means a bad (i.e. Tiesto) DJ, but has do nothing to improve it...

He also looks like shit and seriously throws way too much of that white shit up his nose. Hard not to feel sorry for him.
