Re: where are the vinyls???

I do agree with you. Where did they go? But they can now do more with the cd's and it only takes 5 min to burn a cd. vinyl's will take up to a week or so to be produced. Plus CD's are smaller and easier to transport

Those Djs do a lot of Tours so instead or carying a box of vinyls that sometimes can be a pain in the ass, they just carry a case logic or whatever n' prob can hear some tracks in tehir way to the countries selected for the tour.... plus i think CD's can last longer

Re: where are the vinyls???

Yep,welcome to the future.Soon your bulky record crates will be chips on a keychain.Although vinyl will never completely go away "there nothing like the feel or sound of vinyl" the cd turntable is a great addition to the dj booth. There are a lot of things you can do that you cant w/a turntable.I remember in 1990 or so selling a bunch of old vinyl to get the new format cds(dumbass mistake),sooo maybe there will be some record presses on the market in the near future!LONG LIVE VINYL AND WELCOME TO THE BOOTH DIGITAL>

forgot to mention the smell of it too.... hmmmmm theres nothing better than the smell of vinyl in your room after a nice long set.... my room usually smells like a record shop. Not sure if that's a good thing.

it's really dissapointing and watching someone "perform" on a cdj is about as interesting as watching paint dry. i'd much rather use a final scratch type program than a cdj, why not just carry a laptop and serato or something around? that's the move i'd make.

Every day more djs left off the turntables, for me it's sad too, but all my tracks are on cd too I don't buy vinyls anymore, always technology rules and noone can't deal wiht that, that's the sadly tru.
