If your looking into getting started in DJing and don't want to spend too much then take a look at my auction on ebay. I'm selling my old gear to make room for much more expensive gear I want to purchase and I'm hoping by posting on [ms] that I'll generate more interest than just on ebay alone. The DMC-1 has a serial connection and currently only works with PCDJ and Virtual DJ, but... you can purchase from another site an upgrade chip that will allow you to use it with any midi controlled DJ software, ie. Traktor.
