umm its danny t folks. i saw him at arc and he literally laid out rules over a microphone about what was and wasn't acceptable in his club. he was famous for pointing out people on the dancefloor who were talking on cell phones. if you weren't dancing on 'his' dancefloor, you were braking his rules.

but this does seem like it was translated from another language. his other bitching emails/posts have been at least written with some level of gramar.

doesn't supprise me one bit, though.

Totally!

I saw him last year and he stopped the music to order to people to put away the cell phones several times because he didn't want to play with people taking some pics or talking on them. He gave a speech stopping the set on more than 5 ocassions THATS NOT WHAT I CALL A PROFESSIONAL DJ . DT who the hell do you think u are ?? all right u were a great dj and pioneer of house but come on your just ridiculous doing this. i havent downloaded the clorophilla set and dont want to. Some people think they are like a god.

calm the fuck down about your sets. maybe you need to have people recording your shit and putting it on the net if you are wanting to drum up more money. i know after hearing g-pals sets on here week in and week out i want to see him 100x more now than if i hadnt heard anything live from him. since i cant get over to greece every week to catch him it is great to listen to these sets online. i have been wanting to check out dt in a club for a long time but havent been able to get him in nyc, and he never comes to the midwest. so stop being an :Asshole:

DT makes tons of money off of producers tracks. Digweed does the same, but openly promotes both producers and up-and-coming djs.

DT plays housy/tribal music with cheesy accapellas. Digweed's selection spans multiple genres and doesn't use cheesy accapellas.

Digweed has never sat on a plastic pony in the middle of a club.

Yeah DT needs to lighten up and stop taking things so seriously. Life is way to fuckin short to be all uptight about little things like recording of sets or people taking pics of you. You're a dj...these are things you must put up with as a dj. If you don't like it...don't be a dj.

actually, this hasn't been the first time he's gone and put stuff on messageboards. although he certainly has become better at writting long letters from what I recall. And while I stick with him by the issue of protecting what's his...I still think he's a diva.

His 8 hr sets are so streched out, total boredom. One solid track an hour, filled in with the same hard tribal track song after song. His sets are far from engaging, even wasted.

he has a point about the contract agreement. but at the end of the day he doesnt give anything back.

A DJ like tenaglia may have done 3 dates here in italy. but all down south. hence i couldn't go and see him if i wanted to. Hence the internet is a good way of allowing others to hear what you are up to. it raises awareness. So if he wants to keep it all for himself so be it. the fact he mentions that he received no paymet for the release of the set, also points toward a bit of anal retention.

if he doesnt want promotion. leave it to him.

He can't do anything about people with a mic on the dancefloor recording his set, but if it's stipulated in his contract, the club is in breach of it, simple as that.

I think we sorta take it for granted with the prevalence of digital media and the internet, that all these sets will be floating around for us to download, just look at some requests in P&R. Maybe we're more accustomed to the digital age and Tenaglia is just not moving with the times.

But would you walk into a concert and record a pianist's performance? Or sit in the cinema with a videocam to record a movie? I see it as the same thing, doesn't matter if it's on the dancefloor, in a concert hall, or in a cinema.

Ultimately Tenaglia and every other DJ are the performers and their wishes or idiosyncracies should be respected.

Never been a tenaglia's fan and i'll never be. He is overreacting don't you think? I mean whats the problem of recording one of his live performances? He is not gonna die or sth like that. It's a kind of promotion for the dj him/herself right? Don't know what else to say:P

BTW Digweed doesn't usually allow his sets to be recorded unless it's for his own purpose? I doubt if he'll laugh it off and think it's free promo if he found out a club was secretly recording him.

And I think sometimes DJs don't want their sets freely recorded and passed around because they might not think the set is as good as they could be, etc, for their own reasons.

but if Clorophilla signe the contract...they've got a duty to make sure of this, even if Skizzo was an independently contracted dj (ie not a resident), they still should have checked. If nobody ever checked, I'd bet there would be quite a few more tenaglia sets online. So yeah......

at the end of the day he should of learned by now that u dont trust no one especially in that game, he should of been more carefull......and tbh his attitude fuckin sucks, how to make a complete ass of urself in one easy go the internet way

tbh he's probibly just wrote that to get a hype about the set just so people woiuld download it and listen to it
