Sony's New Walkman to Support MP3? (Part 2)
^^^ they have always said that. Stupid Atrac BS. what a fucking scam. I do not believe them at all.
bah.
No one will buy this POS if it does not support mp3.
Re: Sony's New Walkman to Support MP3? (Part 2)
I prefer ATRAC to mp3...
maybe thats just me, however.

get an ipod
Re: Sony's New Walkman to Support MP3? (Part 2)
Yep get an Ipod.
I have a NetMD it?s ok, but the ATRAC3 is a pain in the fcuking backside. MP3 would be alot easier. I think Sony have missed the boat on the portable MP3 players, it will take something special to break the MP3/Ipod market.
ATRAC3 is a good format if you rip your CDs or buy songs from connect.
But it sucks hard in every other aspect
MP3 support would be sweet. Sony's consumer electronics are the best in the world. It could easily beat the iPod
Re: Sony's New Walkman to Support MP3? (Part 2)
Get an Ipod... You'll never look back. I love mine.
Agreed - Sony products look pretty, but I refused to get sucked into their proprietary stuff and then get locked into 'Sony-world' with Sony-warez. Ditto with BETA and ditto with their minidiscs. Sony's only adding mp3 because they don't have a hope in h*ll of competing in a market where Apple already holds like 70%+ marketshare if they stick with their annoying convert-everything-into-atrac.
Re: Sony's New Walkman to Support MP3? (Part 2)
i use a creative 40gb jukebox for my "music on the move" fix and i found it @ the bargin price of 194 quid (brand new), its got a super fast music transfer rate and its one of my best ever purchases. The thing that has alarmed me a little is that i got sent some "M4A" music files the otherday so i guess that M4A players will be the next technology breakthrough by the phat cats from the electronics world
berps
I have a portable Sony CD player that plays MP3's. Works nice. Though the big ass handle sucks on it.
Re: Sony's New Walkman to Support MP3? (Part 2)
thats awesome :!: i used to own a 64mb sony mp3 player! i was wondering where they all went :!:
Fuck up all that crap of music compression, I hate that all stupid formats.
^^^ Yea! Go Get Those Fuckers!
