^^^^^^YOU ARE THE SHIZIT GATZ. Thanks a bunch
Re: Sasha essential mix this upcoming week...
is the better version available yet? :D
Re: Sasha essential mix this upcoming week...
This set is just AMAZING!!! His new track COMA is fantastic.....Wish I could have been there last night........ Whoever says Sasha is no longer good, they have no idea what they are talking about. I did loose interest in him in 2004 and 2005, but in 2006 he was kicking ass then and has just gotten better.......
Re: Sasha essential mix this upcoming week...
an hour into sweet heaven great choon
Re: Sasha essential mix this upcoming week...
The track around the 20th min ( also heard on the bonaroo set) is just delicious .

Hmmm, you lost interest in him in 2005. I must NOT agree ,did you listen to kristal glam Bucharest 5 hour set. Thats wooooow of a mix. Did you listen to Maide Vale, also woow .. But maybe its just me who is crazy about these sets. But i doubt .
Re: Sasha essential mix this upcoming week...
I too thought Sasha had a poor 2005 in the latter half - he was very good at Fabric (but that was the same day as his Maida Vale set), and also at Circus (where he played a lot of the Southfest stuff). His Krystal set seems an exception for the latter part of '05. 2006 was potentially even poorer (corking Miami and Avalon sets aside, and he was really good at Renaissace in ibiza) ... his Zouk, Zu House and Manchester Warehopuse sets were drab, lifeless and dull. The Bonnaroo and Amnesia sets show real promise and a dropping of the acid tinged hum-drum. Got my tickets for Sankeys on the 31st, so I'll be able to judge things live.

Preaty much i agree with everything you wrote, but i realy liked zouk set ,there are same excellent tracks . I am planning to hear Sasha and Digers in Hungary,Kecel fest in Sunday, cant wait..........:p .
Re: Sasha essential mix this upcoming week...
What a major major letdown this Sasha EM was for me.
I can honestly say that in the 2 hours he played not one track stood out for me. It just seemed to be noise, one bland track after another, it was actually giving me a headache. That Kraftwerk track? If anyone else played that they would be slated. Because Sasha plays it people pronounce it 'quality'.
As I said on the GU board, if I had paid 50 euros to get into Amnesia to hear this I would have felt sick.
Re: Sasha essential mix this upcoming week...
really?
I am entirely impressed with the set. I truly enjoy the first half, just pure bliss. Of course I am on the Sasha band wagon and always have been. ;) I have this on my iPod, Computer, and in my car. I have not stopped listening to it. From me, it carries really well. Each track masterly crafted into the next like an artist with brush strokes. I also really enjoy the track selection. Sasha has got into some crazy ear twisting sounds, which I love. from 19:24 - 19:39 is just a sweet drop.
I dunno. I really have to say this is one of the strongest sets I have heard in a very long time. Smooth.

Re: Sasha essential mix this upcoming week...
it is in the promo section ...
Re: Sasha essential mix this upcoming week...
asdf - different strokes I guess. Thought the mixing was ok, but all the tracks just sounded the same, bleep after bleep after bleep. I'm not that fussed, prob the only really awful set I've heard from Sasha ever, and I fully expect him to deliver the goods the next time I hear a set from him.
Was just very surprised in the quality of the tunes bearing in mind it's recorded in Ibiza.
Re: Sasha essential mix this upcoming week...
I totally respect you sir. I have heard some sets from Sasha that were in the basket after 20 minutes ... not many but there are some.
So I understand. Sometimes music has a different feel pending on what you have going on in life. EDM works for me most of the time, but at times I need my hip-hops and classic rock.
Re: Sasha essential mix this upcoming week...
^Finally someone with sense and respect who doesnt bash someone because they dont like something, props to you sir!

Look the guy's human (whoopsies I think I committed blasphemy!!!1)
All jokes aside though no great artist consistently produces top-notch stuff. You just take the good with the bad with the mediocre with the excellent.

Oh My Gosha Sasha!!
