Welp, I pre-ordered Involver from Amazon yesterday. And the more I read about it, the more interested and curious I become.

You may or may not be one of those people that "hated" Airdrawndagger, or at least disliked it heavily. However, I was one of those that thought the work was absolutely brilliant. I'm always up for something new, and it delivered.

I'm also hoping for the same from Involver. After reading the review at http://www.progressive-sounds.com, I think I'm going to be in for a real treat.

I hope my anticipation isn't all the pleasure I'll get from Involver.

Yup, I got the promo and it's fucking top.

#197323Post 3 of 117

Looking forward for it 8) Hope it's even better than ADD.

ooooh....That's a tall order in my opinion... ADD was so very good.

#197344Post 5 of 117

i love it. it hasn't come out of my cd player for a week.

#197346Post 6 of 117

How can anyone knock ADD. Or for that matter even compare a mix cd with an artist's own produced album. ADD was a monumental album that has influenced progressive dance music as we know it. Go back and listen to ADD again. Then go back and listen to all the amazing records that have come out since then. ADD's influence on progressive is clearly heard in many of the awesome records that have come out. As a novice music production student when I hear ADD I hear an amazing quality that is so hard to find these days with all the bullshit that comes out.

Does anyone else feel this way?

Involver is one of those albums that really make sense after about 5 or 10 listens. The beauty is in the details for this one. :)

#197377Post 8 of 117

Involver is the best album of this year so far. :D

#197388Post 9 of 117

I dont think its as good as ADD...

It makes a good overall album... BUT

I think the remixes are a bit lame on their own though... especially the UNKLE ones, which were ruined...

#197396Post 10 of 117

Yeh, i got the promo a few weeks back and it hasn`t left my player either. Top stuff.

I` ll be buying it soon 8)

#197400Post 11 of 117

It's quality. The only track that hurts it a little is the Felix da Housecat mix IMO.

#197439Post 12 of 117

i think involver is good.

at first i thought it was kinda ok.

but after a couple of listens to it. it really starts to grow.

good stuff from sasha. 8)

#197463Post 13 of 117

AFAIK both Involver and ADD are truly EXCELLENT albums in their own right!

It has certainly opened my eyes towards the diversity which Sasha possess. I especially appreciate his fondness for UNKLE tracks which he seems to be using alot in his mixes :)

#197468Post 14 of 117

Got a copy of it myself last night, great CD, have not stopped listening to it, think it's like 5th time today...

#197473Post 15 of 117

ADD was a masterpiece, involver is not...bit of a let down really.

#197482Post 16 of 117

ITS NOT A LET DOWN IT'S JUST SO DIFFERENT FROM ADD, THAT WE'RE NOT USED TO IT.

I LOVE IT CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF IT.

#197720Post 17 of 117

You can't compare ADD and Involver, I suppose. One's an artists album the other is a mix album -- there's quite a big difference there.

Involver is a fantastic album - you need to have a couple of listens to it though. When I first put it on, I must say I felt let down. However, after listening on the train to work for the last 3 days I've got to say that I've started to really rate it. Not too sure about the last track though. I'm sure it will grow on me.

All in all, amazing stuff from Sasha - well I say Sasha, but when it comes this mix album Sasha really stands for Alex Coe, Barry, Charlie May and the rest of the production team.

8/10 :) Album of the year so far.

#197770Post 18 of 117

The remix of "On My Own" (the last track) is the best one on the album and a great track to end it with IMO.

#197841Post 19 of 117

ADD was the shiznit.

Magnetic North.

Really? I couldn't be happier for ther "Son of God" I like Involver I apppreciate what he was trying to do. I'm glad he took a chance and just didn't cash in.

#198056Post 22 of 117

i like them both (ADD and Involver).. sasha's brilliant for remixing all those songs and putting them together the way he did.. outstanding!

#198062Post 23 of 117

I love it... got it last week and can't stop playing it.

I think my neighboors like it too... got pretty wild with the volume on saturday night... and no one complained

#198109Post 24 of 117

yeah, waiting for my copy too, should be good :)

And what do you think about "back to mine" of nick warren?

You're lucky. I put it on at work and nobody around liked it. Actually, around the intro, one of my mates asked if it is my proccessor making strange sounds (it was playing from my laptop, so the quality wasn't too good)...

Know the feeling ubique. completely alone in my musical tastes at work and I work with around 450 people!! explain that one!!

Isn't that about 3 years old, doesn't really contest for album of the year me thinks

#198715Post 29 of 117

Involver Rocks....Sasha is still the man.

#198780Post 30 of 117

Listening to it right now... great mixing, great tracks, but what else do you expect from Sasha, he never disappoints. I love 'on my own' such a good track.

#199617Post 31 of 117

I banged this slut listening to it the other night...she keeps coming back for more........SASHA

#199624Post 32 of 117

Someone on tranceaddict once thought Sasha sucked and that SHE was horrible at beatmatching

#199821Post 33 of 117

Incredible mix!! I've listened to it honestly like 15 times! His selection of tracks is sick!!

IMO, ADD doesn't even compare to this one! :)

#199885Post 34 of 117

hmmm... a cd full of prog rock and breaks. a let down for me. never could get pumped up. maybe i'll have to give it a few more listens.

i'm still waiting for a worthy follow-up to GU013. c'mon, it's been like 4 years! that was sasha's best IMO.

#199892Post 35 of 117

For what it is I guess it's ok. But I was looking forward to something more upbeat and dancey. Perhaps the next in the series will be like that.

#199916Post 36 of 117

Cool CD - took a couple listens to get into it, but it does the job now. It is definitely not something I would want to hear in a club setting (too mellow), but it is great for home listening.

#199934Post 37 of 117

I finally got by post today!!! Giving it a litsen now! Looks sweet!! I put another post when I finish hearing it!!

#200223Post 38 of 117

Wow great stuff!! Its going to be spining a long time in my stereo!

#200233Post 39 of 117

I'm love it!! 8)

#200238Post 40 of 117

it's good, but no more than that. i've listened to it over and over. it stays good but i wasn't nocked of my seat at all really. ADD i'm still listening to that cd often, several times a week. this one was out of my playlist in a week.
