Wow.
Great set.
Best I've heard from him since the two hour mix he did for Digweed in 2002 when John was busy with Delta Heavy.
Thanks again for the forces responsible for letting us download these mixes.

Re: Chris Fortier Digweed guest mix from last night
love the fortier mix, tracklist anyone?
Re: Chris Fortier Digweed guest mix from last night
as much i was disappointed with the cattaneo mix, i am now pleased by fortiers performance. he always seems to play cutting-edge music with great atmosphere. all chris fortier kiss100 mixes heard so far were absolutely bomb!
Re: Chris Fortier Digweed guest mix from last night
i immediately deleted it, worst mix i ever heard from fortier!!
Re: Chris Fortier Digweed guest mix from last night

could you please explain why? maybe give it a re-listen because you were not in the right mood. i don?t know what the "right" fortier is for you but i quite like his direction.. what i?ve learned is that you cannot listen to his music in a fast-food manner for quick instant satisfaction. it?s more a continuous affair which needs some attention in order to understand the arrangements and mood. his track choices in itself are rather on the monotonous side, so patience is important. i just love him not being the mere crowd pleasing clown dj, in fact he has the backbone and coolness to provide something substantial to the listener. stunning
btw i think digweed part1 was great again. he in contrast knows how to cheer you up during the first seconds but still manages somehow to involve some "weird" moments. the kiss100 shows really do it for me at the moment
Re: Chris Fortier Digweed guest mix from last night
you all need to realise that fortier is a very versatile dj. ;)
with that said, why are there so many skips and blurbles in this set? :what
dom is this a result of your software or is something happening during the transfer?
can anyone concur with my complaint? or is it just me again?
Re: Chris Fortier Digweed guest mix from last night
btw, joey thank you for the great description of chris's sets. ive been a fan for years, probably 10 or so now. he has always been a little different, but always brings it good. see this guy live if you can!
Re: Chris Fortier Digweed guest mix from last night
While I love Fortier this set is crapola. I have 10 minutes left, and I don't know if I should just stop in now and delete it already.
For the record, I have never deleted a single kiss show in all my years of listening to them.
Re: Chris Fortier Digweed guest mix from last night

Re: Chris Fortier Digweed guest mix from last night
Cant wait to here this tonight, Fortier is always showing us a different side to his style, thats one reason why i rate him
Re: Chris Fortier Digweed guest mix from last night
John's set was amazing. The best I have heard from him for weeks. Last weeks' mix was good, but this one rocks.
Sasha and John Digweed (warmup by Jimmy van M) - sounds familiar of a setup, does not it? ;) - Delta Heavy, baby... in Kishunhalas, Hungary, 19th of August.
Re: Chris Fortier Digweed guest mix from last night
this set is a breath of fresh air, not the usual retard bigtune music
Re: Chris Fortier Digweed guest mix from last night
Can't wait to check out 40oz's mix.
Re: Chris Fortier Digweed guest mix from last night
John's set was good. I've heard better from Fortier.
Re: Chris Fortier Digweed guest mix from last night
What a fabulous set from Fortier 8) Not the usual stuff, but very groovy, always keeps you interested. ...and twisted. Good afterparty-stuff :Nice: Would loooove to hear that in a club on a proper soundsystem.
BTW...cannot d/l Diggers set, an error-message appears, any suggestions?
Cheers, G.
Re: Chris Fortier Digweed guest mix from last night
I am listening to Fortier's set at the moment. He has got to be the DJ who has cghanged his style the most out of any DJ I've ever heard.
Agree on the comment that you have to listen to the whole set continuously as it isn't really an 'instant' music hit.
There is a track playing for what seems like 15 mins, with female wailing in the background, that is pretty cool, great groove to it.
A decent mix, prob wouldnt play it a lot, but good background music.
Re: Chris Fortier Digweed guest mix from last night
for me it?s easily among the very best ever heard as it?s not only a musical tunnel. he just knows how to compose things.. very good listening quality but the girls can feel sexy to this in the club as well.
and i agree, i should try catching him live.. hope he updates his schedule soon.
Re: Chris Fortier Digweed guest mix from last night
I'm 40 mins in and i like it. I've deleted one or two kiss mixs, but this ones a keeper.
Re: Chris Fortier Digweed guest mix from last night
JD's mix goes from the sublime (Justin Martin - The Sad Piano) to the plain horrible (that Wink track is "Wank") and back to the totally and absolutely sublime (Milton Jackson - Cycles).
Re: Chris Fortier Digweed guest mix from last night
BTW - that sublime Miltom Jackson "Cycles" track was aired by Neil Quigley back in January and was the highlight of his corking guest mix for JD.
Re: Chris Fortier Digweed guest mix from last night
ahhhh what is that track that starts at 38 minutes, with the female vocal... sounds a bit like Bjork?

I kind a felt the same thing. maybe not as extreme as you described, but it did seem the Wink track was a bit "out of place" between those other two tracks.
I was listening to JD mix on my way to work, didn't get to finish it... This afternoon I'll listen to Fortiers on my way home.

I've always felt this way; I like your version.

Cortney Tidwell - Dont let stars keep us tangled up (Ewan Pearson's objects in space remix)
Ewan has a remix on JDs mix this week:
Fields - Songs for the fields (Ewan Pearson remix).
Both are HUGE!

That Cortney Tidwell track is massive
Re: Chris Fortier Digweed guest mix from last night
After 2 listens to the Fortier set, i like it. Not his best kiss mix, but pretty darn good.
