Paul Van Dyk, and Tiesto have pledged their support to British troops serving around the world by agreeing to appear as guest DJs on the British Forces Broadcasting Service (BFBS).

?The Paul Bunker Breakfast Show? on BFBS Radio 1, will be broadcast live from Caf? Mambo in Ibiza on Saturday 17th September. Troops serving in Iraq, Afghanistan, Oman, Qatar, and Germany will get the chance to hear some extra special sets from the two superstar DJs. Chart-topping dance act The Shapeshifters will make an appearance, as will Judge Jules and Pete Tong. Even if they are in a sticky situation in Basra or Kabul, Her Majesty?s finest will still be able to have it large.

Civilians can tune in to the show too - it will be streamed live over the net from 6am-8am (UK time).

I am sure that they did this to show the soldiers that being in war isn't the worst thing that can happen to you in life, I rather be in kandahar or Fallujah than listen to these two goats.

I can understand the bashing of those other 3, but PVD??? Have you guys ever seen him live? He can mix better than any other DJ I've ever seen. And if you're not feeling elitist or ultra cool then he'll rock your nuts every time he plays.

PVD has been ripping it for the past 10 yrs. I hate trance. But PVD doesnt play the cheesy trance thats out there. His stuff is always banging and hard.

Like I said, if you're not too ultra cool to listen, then PVD is (or was, haven't seen him in a couple years) a badass DJ.

Zabiela, though he is a technical master, has some of the most boring sets I have ever heard. Sasha & John are true masters though. The only time I saw them live was on their Delta Heavy tour. You would have had to be on drugs to listen to them that night. I expected so much more out of them.

PVD is a good DJ but he just seems to be stuck in the past - his music is the same thing over and over. After a while, it does your head in.

pvd is a good dj, but he tends to get too gay, fairy-style. when he sticks with slow progressive trance, his shows are cool. he just never spins that anymore. as for the others, the troops don't HAVE to listen you know... ;)
