Re: Sean Cusick

I think he prefers being the underdog... too much attention may scare him.

Re: Sean Cusick

Re: Sean Cusick

Loved the '03 Kiss mix as well... Also liked his production work with DJ Three as Second-Hand Satellites.

nope. i know chloe and i know she knows sean, and would have no reason to make anything up.

Re: Sean Cusick

naw, it's not bs, it's true, I verified.

Re: Sean Cusick

What does he do there?? Is it music related? i-tunes or something?

#869754Post 12 of 39

Re: Sean Cusick

Why does it have to be something to do with 'music'? Maybe he's a programmer who's good at what he does? Or a strategic marketing adviser?

I'm sure he's a really smart man who can do more than just work on music.

Re: Sean Cusick

I think the scene died out of deep twisted wickedly prog breaks and he said fuck it, Im workin' for Apple now!

#869757Post 14 of 39

Re: Sean Cusick

I emailed him to find out what he does. My guess is either a Creative or Mac Genius.

#869758Post 15 of 39

Re: Sean Cusick

ya sean still works on music too. 'under your nose' on chris fortiers new album is a collaboration between them.

Ive only heard him play live once, had the chance to meet him and was amused by his character as well. He is a funny fucker for sure.

Re: Sean Cusick

His xpander columns were legendary, the man really knows how to write, and write well.

Some of his sets are quality as well, such as the aforementioned 2003 Kiss set. There is one tune on there 'Nail-Its A Fine World' that could just be my favourite house tune of all time.............

#870351Post 25 of 39

Re: Sean Cusick

^^ took a fucking long time to nail the name of that one ;)

#870400Post 26 of 39

Re: Sean Cusick

Sean played one of, if not the, best sets I've ever seen live.

#870465Post 27 of 39

Re: Sean Cusick

and for all those who are interested, here's an archive of all Sean's Xpander columns I put together a while back :)

Sean is truly one of the most talented and fun djs out there...seen him many times spinning all sorts of sets and he never fails to impress. :Respect:

Re: Sean Cusick

I saw Sean spin once as well. I think early last year at Spundae. He started off really great but then what's his name stepped in (Stoneproof), forget his real name and it was all fucked from there...

Re: Sean Cusick

I miss our long conversations about Quantum Physics and the Laws of Thermodynamics into late in the afternoon after hard night of music and partying at Orlando's Firestone. I miss Jimmy's old house with the ping-pong table in the back sunroom and Mark Hunt's house was always a blast especially after the Renaissance Tours. Super articulate and highly intelligent chap. Wanker was in film school for awhile but don't recall if he ever finished. I've got quite a few recordings on mini-discs of him from those days as well as Miami's old Groove Jet afterhours at Luis Diaz's cabana. Good times back then.
