I overheard a trance-head at WMC say that all Tech House DJ's look like their homeless.....worn-out tee's, no shave, and emaciated. What are your thoughts?

I'm just saying that I overheard this being said. If you take for instance the everyone on the M-Nus label. They look pretty homeless.

its the look man, those guys from the m-nus label are too busy partying for like 3 weeks straight to care about appearences, its like when you party that much you come out of the club with a beard, very hardcore.

It's true, particularly the minimal folks! :) Minimal ain't no posh frou frou deal; it's a sweaty, gritty, keeping it real as fuck affair where dressing up means wearing a ratty scary along with your worn T shirt - in the middle of summer. It's not the Abercrombie/Hollister of the dance world; it's the weird little alternative used clothing store around the corner that you never heard of.
Yeah well most trance DJs look like they're pre-pubescent boys.
This is true, too. See previous comments about the frou frou Abercrombie stuff... :D

:lol This happens to me everytime. I'll shave before heading out to make sure I look my best, then I'll look in the mirror halfway through the night and decide it's time for another shave!

Re: Tech House DJ's Homeless???

ive always in general thought that djs dress pretty shitty, no shave , regular tshirts.

i kinda like that though, make them seem more personal, like their shit stinks as bas as yours and would be cool to party hard with.

digweed has been looking pretty rough as of late, since he stopped straightening his hair, lol

If you think Sasha, Digweed, Chris Fortier, Luke Fair, Cedric Gervais, James Zabiella and Nic Fanciuli all fit that description, then I guess so....

I saw every one of those guys spin tech house. I also became addicted to tech house and convinced that it's the wave of the (near) future. F'in awesome...

Re: Tech House DJ's Homeless???

You should immediately discredit any moron using the term 'tech-house'.

Did you notice that they each have one "candy" bracelet on their right wrists?
interesting.....

also The areas where Jesus would have been nailed to the hairy cross are marked by the DJ's nipples and navel. Coincidence or divine message?

Re: Tech House DJ's Homeless???

Sarcasm from Greek σαρκασμός (sarkasmos), 'mockery, sarcasm' is sneering, jesting, or mocking a person, situation or thing. It is strongly associated with irony, with some definitions classifying it as a type of verbal irony intended to insult or wound[1] — stating the opposite of the intended meaning, e.g. using "that's fantastic" to mean "that's awful". It is used in a humorous manner, often harshly, and is expressed through vocal intonations such as over-emphasizing the actual statement or particular words. Use of sarcasm is sometimes viewed as an expression of concealed anger[2] or annoyance. Sarcasm can also be used situationally for e.g. "the couch is so big" when referring negatively to the fact that the couch is actually small.

Im soooooo terribly concerned with what the DJ's are wearing instead of their musical abilities.

Divine message? That was a joke......
