Alright so it's back and bigger than ever. Now even with my favorites closed I have to scroll to the right (and my res is 1084 x 768). So I ask you wonderful admins again...can you please fix it :) Thanks so much guys!

Re: Screen Size issues

The new forum looks great... :D

But I can't see anything - everything's all over the page, scrolling back and forth, and some people's replies just don't appear...

I know there's going to be teething problems and you may well be working on this so I shall be patient! Just thought I'd let you know.

Cheers guys 8)

I am finding it hard to duplicate this problem but I'll check the template cause I use 1024x768 at work and theres no stretch at all.

People's idents fill the width of the screen, some replies are beneath them and some are far to the right... and Peloquin, for example, seems to be posting blank posts. And I know he wouldn't do that. Would he?

And the quote thing just shows a tiny scrolling box...

Maybe it's just my computer... Maybe it's cause I got a Mac... Maybe it's just me? Makes it's very difficult to use MS generally though

Any tips?

Re: Screen Size issues

The quote thing....you can click on expand on top right of the Quote to see the Quote completely.

For the other problems you described please make a screenshot and post it either here or via Email.

I have heard of this with one other person on a different forum. Any chance you could make a new test account and tell me if it still happens on that one?

Also for those using a smaller res I noticed on Integrastyle it was stretching and that should be fixed for those on 1024x768..

#255823Post 10 of 62

Matt, I think the page widening is happening due to the number of menu items displayed, I am almost certain if we drop that from 16 - 10 it will fix it...

testing my theory now

-e-

#255825Post 11 of 62

has that fixed the problem ??

-e-

#255834Post 12 of 62

I think I could drop down to 400x400 now

Re: Screen Size issues

It's definitely helped the width issue but things are still all over the place... I'm emailing TomTom a screenshot anyway. :)

Have you tried my suggestion above?

#255843Post 15 of 62

Re: Screen Size issues

Will do now...

Cheers

Re: Screen Size issues

Erm, tried to do a new test account but I've only got the one email account I can access and it won't let me use my current one again...

#255915Post 17 of 62

Ok next time you are on get with myself or another admin and we will turn off the email activation so you can use any email addy to try this out or

Does anyone have a test account already set up that he can use?

#255919Post 18 of 62

user acid pass = test

-e-

#255922Post 19 of 62

mixu- log in with that username above and see if you get the same thing.

#255934Post 20 of 62

Re: Screen Size issues

OK, the continuing saga...

It's fine with the test account although the width still varies on different forums. Getting somewhere (!) but where do we go from here?

My ongoing thanks

#255939Post 21 of 62

We need to delete your account that your using now and have you re-register is the only thing I can think of unless someone else has another idea.

Re: Screen Size issues

Yikes - and lose my precious member no. 15! E, is there any alternative? Or am I doomed to become a noob again? :P

#255976Post 23 of 62

Re: Screen Size issues

Mixu, I saw that you are using the FU Subic template...maybe change it in your profile back to the standard template "Integra style" before we start with the drastic moves...maybe it?s a Mac problem. Are there any other Mac users registered who can test the site with the alternative FI Subice template?

If it does not work changing the template I would like to login with your account to see if I ran reproduce the screen size errors you experience. Drop me another Email after you changed the template and I will call you back with a new password because I have to reset it to login with your account.

#255985Post 24 of 62

I wouldn't worry too much we can always go in manually and set your new username to 15 member id and switch your old acct to the other id.

#256345Post 25 of 62

Re: Screen Size issues

I think guys, changing the template has fixed it!!!

The width still doesn't automatically configure in my browser when I change the size... but I can live with that.

HUGE thanks and respect for the time and effort taken - I really appreciate it. I hope it's helped somebody else too.

:D :D :D :D

Re: Screen Size issues

Glad we could help.

#256358Post 27 of 62

Mixu, are you surfing the internet with your browser open to the maximum width ?? what is your screen resolution and the size of your monitor ?? Because I reduced the width of the menu bar and I think that fixed it

-e-

#256383Post 28 of 62

Re: Screen Size issues

I've got a 21" monitor (I think) so my browser is never more than two-thirds of the screen... Resolution is 1152x870, 75Hz.

Does that make sense?

#256391Post 29 of 62

try changing your resolution to 1280 x 1024 and tell me what you see,

also, try to full screen your browser and see if it helps any

-e-

#256436Post 30 of 62

Re: Screen Size issues

Changing the resolution completely screws the screen up, everythings too small... If I full screen the browser it's fine - but the monitor is too big to do that as I'm at work.

Not to worry, scrolling to the left is nothing compared to how it was yesterday...

Cheers 8)

#256945Post 31 of 62

working for me now :D thanks guys

Re: Screen Size issues

It was fixed yesterday but the width of the screen isn't automatically adjusting anymore :( I think that [ms] is just messing with me!

#257567Post 34 of 62

how so ?? whats it doing ?? it will not adjust less than a certain width (simply because of how many links we have up there)

whats your monitor size + resolution ?

-e-

#258215Post 35 of 62

-e-
Well if it's not adjusting because of the links then I can't do anything more. I'll just have to close my favorites then. Thanks anyways.
