hah i put the buena vista cd on after your comment, and coming back to this thread that tune you are quoting is on right now...
There is a documentary to go along with the cd, about the whole buena vista social club and everyone involved who was overlooked by castro in the past. ry cooder went back and got these guys the respect they deserved. i saw most of the documentary on ifc or something a long time ago, i need to go get it and watch the whole thing because the audio cd is great. it is cool to see the people behind it and not just on cd.

Re: Worlds Greatest Soundtrack's
the forest gump 2 CD sound track was nothing short of godly in regards to rock music of the times. every fucking song is a wonderful tune. and nothign cheesey at all.
also, much credit to the ST of 50 first dates. i dunno know why, but all those covers were pretty good outside of the 311 one, which wasnt even that bad. higjlight is do you realize by the flaming lips.
Re: Worlds Greatest Soundtrack's
Yah sorry hgaddict its that damn ring,,,seducing me...
Re: Worlds Greatest Soundtrack's
i think my favourite soundtrack composer is Angelo Badalamenti. He pretty much does all the soundtracks to all David Lynch films. Lots of chilled out jazz, sleazy sounding relaxing horns and bass, etc..really kick ass and chillout stuff.
Re: Worlds Greatest Soundtrack's
pulp fiction the wall vanilla sky goodfellas
Re: Worlds Greatest Soundtrack's
I liked the Garden State soundtrack for a while, does that make me some sort of a fag?
The Tracklisting for The Garden State Soundtrack is as follows. Click on the links to sample the tracks!
Re: Worlds Greatest Soundtrack's
ohhh yah garden state, one of the greats man, no doubt the song selection was done by the same guy behind scrubs....main actor is from scrubs...and the shins and that colin haye dude are always played on the show. I think new slang is cool...very acoustic....and frou frou's also pretty nice and chilled out. She sounds very familiar, i wonder if she goes by some other names in different groups etc,.
hopefully i too am not gay for liking the soundtrack

I can't believe I am the first one to mention Blade Runner. It's awesome, and it influenced so many of the producers working today.

Re: Worlds Greatest Soundtrack's
I liked a lot that are mentioned here.. Pulp Fiction, Vanilla Sky, 2 of my all time favorite movies and soundtracks that I had to get.
But that's it as far as purchasing soundtrack cd's though.
The only other soundtrack I bought was for "Immortal Beloved". Movie about Beethoven with Gary Oldman.
Re: Worlds Greatest Soundtrack's
Pulp Fiction Trainspotting The Mission Blade Runner The Virgin Suicides
Re: Worlds Greatest Soundtrack's
