you meet a chick who is unreal and has a boyfriend. hung out with her friday night and last night and she is amazing... both of our groups of friends were away for the weekend and we met thru a mutual friend. she was complaining how her itunes did not work ... so i offered to fix it... i did and we had dinner as well friday, and then went out boozing last night for st. patricks day. she is pretty, smart, funny and has a great taste in music (not house music, but my non house music taste and hers are identical). we can talk for hours. it pisses me off that i cannot find someone like this, but in the same sense, i am glad i had the chance to meet her and spend some time with her. oh well, she lives in europe and i am in boston... id never work, but i want one damnit.

hate/love it when...
Re: hate/love it when...
this has happened to me alot. A LOT. i always just make fun of the girls boyfriend in front of her while bigging myself up :p
Re: hate/love it when...
I was seeing a girl from NYC for 3 years ... unless you are a jet-setting DJ, the distance, cost and practicalities are a nightmare - but that shouldn't necessarily put you off (the plus side was that we had some amazing times, she was beautiful, we got an amazingly and I got to sample what an amazing place NYC is). I say go for it !

the issue is the boyfriend! who she lives with and loves. she brings him up often and says they have discussed marriage... so err yea, kind of a problem! so that said i am not going to stop hanging out/talking with her (her boyfriend is deployed till april). also i leave in a week, so i dont have much time anyways...just going to enjoy my time with her till i leave...:|
Re: hate/love it when...
I think many of us had this happen. I try to think of the positive side and use it as a good experience when you do meet that single girl. In reality, you don't know how a more intimate relationship would go. Dating someone and being friends is a big difference in the long run. Again on the positive note, keep things friendly because sometimes that girl can become single again.
Re: hate/love it when...
if she lives with him/loves him/brings him up often, then you my friend are stuck in friend zone unless some extraordinary shit happens. It sucks man, just gotta suck it up and move on...
Re: hate/love it when...
The way I look at it...She shouldn't be going out to dinner with you if she has a boyfriend..If I were you, I wouldn't invest too much time into this chick. Here she is, going out on a dinner date with you while she has a boyfriend. Do you honestly think that she wouldn't do the same to you if you and her were an item?? Save yourself some sanity, and lose the thoughts of being with her..Just my thought.....
Re: hate/love it when...
dont get me wrong here, i am not thinking i can be with her. i never did, i know she is dedicated to her boyfriend. i just wish i could meet someone like this who is unattached. i am taking it for what it is for sure and not getting too invested.
Re: hate/love it when...
True :)
Re: hate/love it when...
tell her what she needs to hear, you know what i mean
Re: hate/love it when...
4 problems with this situation already mentioned:
- she has a boyfriend she is very into
- she is going on "dates" with other guys
- youre in the friend zone
- long distance never works out
remember that her status and location can change, i wouldnt hold my breath, take it as a learning experience and move on
side note: why cant i find any girls that are into house music? its always crappy radio music or country, lol
Re: hate/love it when...
Forget about long distance relationships , nail her before you leave if you can , or else you will regret it all your life, she knows that you are leaving, she might never see you again so she might accept.
Re: hate/love it when...
^^^ Listen to Bululu. He's a smart man. You have to nail this bird before you don't have another chance.

Re: hate/love it when...
i still struggling after my break up, and not really hitting hte market.
but u always meet the cools either when your attached or when they are attached, and then they all disappear the second u are single.
there fucking go into hiding. i want to know where???
Re: hate/love it when...
I think you're too eager to have a relationship Shawn. So what if you can't have this chick as a girlfriend, at least you've got a good mate and imo that's worth much more than having a shot at a possible relationship which you might fuck up in the end...
Good things come to those who wait ;)
Re: hate/love it when...
In most cases than none, I've realized that you always end up thinking/behaving differently around someone you know you cannot have consequently giving you the false realization that you're actually getting along phenomenally well and this is perhaps the kind of person you'd die being happy with.
It's an illusion, dont let it mess you up. You will never know how good or bad it really is unless you end up with them, until then, don't confuse what you want vs. what you truly need.

lmao Kinkster..... can you say smart minds think alike

Re: hate/love it when...
There are over 1 billion women in the world. Find one who doesn't have so many strings attached. There are plenty of them out there.
Re: hate/love it when...
^^where? :)
Re: hate/love it when...
probably true kinky and kamal about wanting a relationship. i am dating someone at home now, but i am losing interest... maybe thats where its stemming from :?: but believe me i am not taking advantage of the fact i can have a good friend out of it. i know what my future is with her and i am staying talking to her (thats why i put hate/love in the thread title... cause while it sucks she is taken, i am happy i met her still). and oddly enough (or not) it came at a time where i was questioning many things in my life and pondering a drastic change in my lifestyle...all things she found quite interesting....
lmao Kinkster..... can you say smart minds think alike
I'm glad it's not so lonely at the top anymore passes the popcorn
Re: hate/love it when...
well if you're in the friend zone now, forget it...it's too late, you're done, and you can't get to the other side w/o royally screwing things up
Re: hate/love it when...
And this week it got proven again that when you don't give a fuck...they come after you. But when I show interest I'm a pathetic eager loser, lol. I dismissed her.

 I met a girl like this recently. She's on the other side of the planet and I'm now racking my brain to work out how I can end up living there. Damn these girls will be the death of me

^^^ easy: skype + txt msgs + msn + a plane ticket every 2 months + have her move to your part of the world. Works fine with me and the misses.
