Re: Amazing drummer
drummer from primus, overlooked for years, but one of the best. NO ONE can do off beat fills and improvise like that guy. when i saw them last year, i was in awe.
Re: Amazing drummer
^^^ You got that right! Tim Alexander is talented
Re: Amazing drummer
seriously, if you pay attention, you hear all these little bits and peices he throws in that dont even remotely follow the songs, but go unnoticed and make perfect sense. innovative is the word.,

Too true Sean. Saw Primus ages ago, damn, when sailing the seas of cheese came out.
that off beat kind of sloppy rhythm is what i loved about them.
Re: Amazing drummer
yeah, kinda hard to get noticed when Les Claypool is on stage. man is the eric clapton/van halen of bass. just does things that no one else can do.

live at pompeii (the dvd) is just awesome.
Re: Amazing drummer
I only have one word when in comes to drummers.....Bozzio. The man is the king. Anyone who has ever gotten to see him do one of his clinics, you were completely blown away. No one does what he does.
Even Peart on his drumming videos gives respect for Bozzio and how insane the guy is.
I've got a great video of Elvin Jones with Coletrane back in the 60's...good stuff. Playing My favorite things with Coletrane and Eric D.
