its funny last time i heard digweed (wmc06 terrace), he fucked up...it didnt bother me one bit,...xcept for the fact i was so deeply into the song he was playing and then he cut it right off...i blame that screw up on da dank

I actuall like it when the top boys make a mistake, Makes it seem more real almost. Especially if it is at a night like Bedrock or WMC where there are alot of trainspotters and everyone starts twittering and looking at each other when it happens! :lol:

"track selection" trumps "perfect beat matching 100% of the time" IMO there are people that beat match perfect.. but if your programming sucks and your tracks are shite, who cares, lol

or he can be like gabriel and dresden and play a pre recorded mix because he is too twatted to mix live, and then fiddle knobs on ableton whilst the mix plays..

he was good on the terrace last year...couldnt stand him downstairs that is why i spent all my time on the terrace with luke fair, porter desyn ect ect......

i still personally think digs musical tastes is atroucious now....and i will say it as much as i want to annoy all you digweed groupies

To suggest for even a moment that John Digweed can't mix is completely erroneous. We are talking about John Digweed for chrissakes!

So he's had some technical difficulties here and there and made a few beatmatching errors over the years, who hasn't?

Over the course of the last five or six years I have stood in the booth and watched almost every one of the top 100 DJ's in the world and have talked to many of them after their sets as well. They're all human. Every last one of them. It would be wise to remember this when slinging arrows at one of the pioneers of EDM.

Anyone saying that someone like Digweed "can't mix" because he flubbed a transition or two one night is most likely a naive newbie who doesn't know shit about DJing. And hasn't seen many DJs perform live. And it's not about defending Digweed. It's about pointing out ignorance.

Well, now eveyone on the forum hates me....oh well. I should not have said he can't mix, cause we all know he is one of the best out there. To mess up two tracks in a row his monitor must have busted, only thing I can think of........that would be great to get our hands on Digweeds set from Cavo, its out there.....................

Sometimes expressing your opinion is tough without attacks, but saying he cant mix is crazy...he one of the best.....my beef is his musical direction the last few years

Once I was playing the opening spot at this desert Rave.. it pwned... I mix with my headphones completely on.. and I hit the wrong button the mixer.. the MUTE button... didn't know for like 30 seconds... Then after I finally got back into the swing of things, and people really started to get they groove on... the monitor stand broke and slid into the station where my turntables were at.. but I didn't notice at first cuz it didn't cause any problems.. until the transition.. I dropped the bass a little, but not enough.. and as the bass kicked in my needles started jumping in time with the bass.. which caused a NEW bass... it was AWFUL!!!

After the show two girls approached me, loved my set and wanted to "party" I'm sure Digweeds 2 messups didn't hurt his credibility too much...

Digweed live is way different that his recorded shite imo. He destroyed Crobar up here a few months ago. I remember walking out of there thinking WTF just happened?? :shock: I totally lost the plot. He was throwing down sounds that I couldn't understand (if that makes any sense).
