So...if you're going to post a chart, do the labels the common decency of giving them promotion for sending you the track. The whole idea behind labels or artists giving you tracks in advance is so you'll play them and help promote them. :hollow:CDR:hollow: doesn't do anyone any favors.

Re: Jamie McHugh - March 2007 Chart

shouldn't this really be in the dj section of this board?

Nice tracks...I guess...never heard any of them yet.

Re: Jamie McHugh - March 2007 Chart

Got a bunch of those tracks...

Funny to see old techno (and I mean TECHNO) guys like Marco Bailey and Valentino Kanzyani getting more and more on the melodic/:hollow:minimal:hollow: tip, they used to be pretty hard, I mean, DJ Rush-like hard. Adam Beyer, Umek, Rino Cerrone, Gaetano Parisio...they?ve all softened up quite a bit.

Yeah, same goes for Misstress Barbara too, her old relentless CD's were just that, compared to her recent kiss mix they were rock hard (PROPER TECHNO)

Especially Adam beyer, used to love his older techno, now he's just a run of the mill minimal guy (but still a good dj)

As for Jamie McHugh - leave him alone. Has made some good productions of late, so what if he's playing his own tracks out, wouldnt you? Too many cvnts on this board imo

Re: Jamie McHugh - March 2007 Chart

Yeah, I don?t see anything wrong with it either...Stephan Bodzin and Thomas Schumacher play mostly their own stuff, and people don?t seem mind that.

yea but so has Sasha, Tong, Cox, Vath, Hawtin etc etc - if you dont change and adapt you'll be out the game.

However I really miss the Umek, Kanzyani sound of a few years back - techno at its finest.

Go fuck yourself you sycophant. If Jamie and your obviously humorless prick-ass can't take a joke then go start posting on tranceaddict.

Re: Jamie McHugh - March 2007 Chart

Hey fellas, i wasn't trying to turn this thread into a fking bitch fest, just merely offering a constructive idea that helps everyone involved in this dying vinyl industry. I think Jamie if he ever saw this thread again (unless this was just a drive-by posting) he would probably get my point and wouldn't take offense to it. So everyone take your bitching to the politics section and annoy TheSightless or something.

Re: Jamie McHugh - March 2007 Chart

Jenks has a very valid point. Why point to CDR when it is has been published or signed? Just does not make sense. You should always give credit to the label if possible. Really they are sticking their necks out for a few bucks. I understand why the term "CDR" is used, but I also feel in this situation it was not applicable. Give credit where it is due.

Moving forward ... Nice track list Jamie and thank you for sharing. ;)
