Hi, folks,

after years and years with electronic music I seem to have reached the point where techno, tech-house and whatsoever doesn?t satisfy me anymore. Well at least not as much as it used to. Seems I?m getting older...

I recently came across the Massive-Attack-thread somewhere in this forum (60 minute-mix). After that I listened to their album "Collected" which is simply stunning. I already knew some of their tunes (Unfinished sympathy / Teardrop), but everything else they are throwing out is really phantastic!

Seems I have found the "bridge" between electronic music and "normal" music :roll:

I?ve already ordered the albums "Unleashed-soundtrack" and "100th Window but what else should I listen to (beside Massive Attack) to gratify my musical needs?

Any recommendations?

Thanks, but I?m pretty done with that sound. Listened to this kind of music when I was 20-25. But good recommendations though. Good times 8)

What about some French-style sound? I don?t know any music from France, a friend told me they put out good music? Have no clue what I should search for...

Why don?t you go on something like Pandora.com or Last.fm? It?s a great way to find stuff, you just type the name of the artist you like and it will play you a shitload of similar stuff.

that 100th window album was a star studded diamond. i loved it many times over, and so shall you G. but since you're tired of tech house and what not, i guess i'll have to restructure that wmc promo im workin on. :what

Thatis my absolute favorite non dance electronic music cd to listen to...except for Tangerine Dream, whom are the fathers of this type of music along with Kraftwerk.

That album is the sonic equivilant of being in a coma. It doesn't let you go...you simply fall deeper into their world.

100th Window was quality - I used to have a little 2 bed flat above an empty shop, I was on the end of a terrace and had no neighbours - could blast music out as loud as I liked at any time really. Used to have a few beers, sit on the floor, blast this album out and play on the Gamecube, X Box etc.

Ahhhh happy days...............The albums I listened to back then at full volume were quality - Balance 5, Balance 6, Involver........

Thanks all for the recommendations, I checked that "zero 7"-stuff yesterday. Not exactly what I was searching for, but nice music though.

"Air" sounds good to me.

I also wanna listen to the tangerine dream-album.

Thievery Corporation...umm...have some albums of them somewhere in the deep of my basement... must pull them out again..

Massive Attack has the right portion of "electronic" in their songs, but I think an equivalent is hard to find... however, "100th window" and the "unleashed"-soundtrack are on their way, should arrive tomorrow.

I was trying not to bring a TD vs KW on here, but yeah I much rather prefer TD. Their music is just so beautiful, and KW's has almost no feeling to the music.
