Oh i feel so sorry reading that. Even though i don't listen to his tunes these days i could not imagine how he feels. I mean if my gear gets stolen i would be so fucked up its not funny. Sorry to hear the sad news bt :(

I'm NOT saying he desrverd it, but I remember reading in Mix Mag I think something where he was being a jerk to some guy and stating that the guy had "gear" envy. I felt he was very harsh with the guy, went on too long. Maybe he made some enemies then. I remember thinking that he was being an asshole... Obviously some people took it a step further. I hope he gets his stuff back though.

medon't think so....after 14 bikes I have enough annoyance to let go on the next motherfucker that can't get his hands off my stuff. wow. that sucks. As bright as Brian is ... you would think he would have insurance. Or have back ups of all his works. It sucks he got jacked, and I only hope he is able to address the issue.

on a side note ... I can not even imagine the people that got that gear. Started listening to samples and thought this shit was straight whack. Just like the dude that stole all my CD's out the car and found out it was all untz untz and burned CD's. haha. Suckers.

If everybody I called an asshole or did not talk to in an appropriate way in the past would rob me afterwards because he's angry with me I would have no flat to live in and run around naked in the streets. The guy got robbed and NOBODY wants to live somewhere where you do not feel safe...nothing worse than to be scared in your own flat or house and fuck the people who do this to others just to make some bucks.

This is the kicker- you have to be a completely stupid igonrant idiot to make as much money as he does and not have a security alarm installed in your house, especially if you have been robbed once before. And to not have an off-site backup of your newest release that you toured and toured and promoted, then its damn near deserving. Somebody knew what they were doing and what equipement he had. It wasnt someone just walking by and breaking in.

My understanding it that BT went bankrupt having to defend a stupid lawsuit (i.e. typical lawyers being opportunistic leaching money over nonedescript case as usual). Now BT puts his money back into creating music and writing ground-breaking music software that others in the EDM music community will, ultimately, benefit from - that is, regardless of the style they play out or whether they like BT's music (or hairstyle for that matter). I feel sorry for any Artist, Musician, DJ or Producer that has his or her gear stolen.

Well how?s this for the American legal system?..

He is suing me for 10 MILLION DOLLARS.

He?s also suing East/West the company that distributed my CD for 10 million dollars and Pfizer etc. We have done FFT analysis of the loop, showed the judge waveforms, etc?..does not matter, in America, you can sue anyone for anything. Here?s the kicker?..I have to pay for my own defense, and this guy has some ambulance chaser attorney working on a percentage with nothing better to do than try to force a settlement with a huge corporation, and some guy that just loves making music and sounds, so he can sit on his ass and smoke weed all day. I swear sometimes I want to renounce my citizenship.

Anyway, all this anti-legal, expatriate sort of stuff may be coming from the fact that I am in one of the most beautiful, eco friendly, amazing people, food, diving, jungle, unreal places on the planet?

Wow that is absolutely terrible. I cannot imagine recovering emotionally after the first robbery, but the second time is just gut-wrenching. What is this world coming to? The man's heart and soul was in that laptop.

maybe he did it? hey, any publicity is good publicity, sounds like his move for a non-profit is what was more important, but in any event, I have had stuff stolen too and nothing makes you more sick than that. money is one thing but things are sometimes harder to re-coup
