anyone know if they are having problems with thier credit card thing?

i was trying to buy some stuff, got declined, called visa, they say i am all right and up to date, try again, and still declined....

odd?

i have been having this problem for a couple of weeks now, im about ready to give up on beatport for good. i got declined with my debit card for a $5.97 transaction, verified that i had over a grand in the bank and so i emailed them - they told me to re-enter all my credit card info, which i did, to no avail. tried a credit card instead and again got declined, despite being wayyyyy under my limit. ive added beatport to me ie7 trusted sites... and im still getting declined. tried multiple transactions, different amounts, re-entered my billing info about 5 times for each card, and no luck. really annoyed with it, and i prefer beatport to kompakt-mp3, but at least that site works for me (but i find it less user-friendly and not as good a selection)

i've reentered everything multiple times, with multiple cards. unless they have the wrong billing address for me somehow, everything is perfect. but i assume it would just verify the billing address related to the card, which is correct.

that is exactly what the problem was for me. after emailing them, i went in and double checked my info. it had my old mailing address, and i chenged it to my new one, and viola... success.

its weird cuz i have used them for awhile now, and never changed my info in there, but i guess with the new year, thier info was wrong and lead to the decline. double check the addresses they have for you.

i have corrected the address a number of times, it is my correct billing and mailing address. i have tried two cards. i dont care any more.

firstly, you dont get bills for debit cards. secondly, my credit card balance is about 200 dollars and the limit is about 5k. thanks for the useless advice though ;)

who is your bank? and what cc are you using? I used a VIsa and went through fine.

If you're sure it's nothing on your end, your card issuer would be the ones who create the declines on the card. They have a record of attempted charges on your card, and they should be able to give you a reason that they declined the transactions. If they tell you they don't have a record it means one of two things 99% of the time: a) you put in the wrong card #. b) you need to hook up with a different financial institution. The other 1% of the time it's something on the retailers end that is causing the problem.

i figured my problem out when i had the same issue ordering EuroStar tickets from London to Paris at the weekend. for some reason certain sites (and only certain sites) will not accept the card if i have the "th" from number in my street address... and i have to have the word "avenue" spelt out rather than "ave"

bizarre, but i have now been able to order from beatport (i tested it out and downloaded the new Spectral Sound release - which is awesome by the way)
