I have a question. Know any good record stores there? I'm looking for a place with a good selection of electronic music (on vinyl) so any tips would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Question for people from NYC...
5 yrs ago I would have ripped anyone's head off who spoke of spinning cds (now I reserve most of that anger for Ableton despite some of my best mates using it-lol) and when we release tracks I'm always hoping for a vinyl release( to this date we've only gotten one thing on vinyl and it's in Italy) but I'm shocked that there are ppl who pay 10 bucks for vinyl for 1 track (maybe 2-3) but still with the whole digital download revolution and the ability to still compensate an artist for their work and not have to lose your hat doing it, I am constantly astounded by how many ppl still remain on vinyl
All love tho JK224-just hollerin for discussion sake
and to clarify discussion I mean the continuance of ppl buying records in todays day and age NOT the ableton vs CD vs Vinly debate which has been done to death on every board in existence :):):)
Re: Question for people from NYC...
So you're saying CD's are better than vinyl and ableton?

Re: Question for people from NYC...
guess I should have thrown the [/sarcasm] tag in there
Re: Question for people from NYC...
I still buy vinyl. There are a lot of labels i love that aren't digital. Plus, i still have a thing for collecting good records.
Halcyon rocks btw.
Re: Question for people from NYC...
the "balls" gave me a clue but didn't fully give you away
glad we're all friends again-lol
Re: Question for people from NYC...
That was pretty close

Re: Question for people from NYC...
fuck ableton, it only came about because someone needed a way for sasha to dj when he is cracked out and has no control over his body. he cant train wreck button puches and copy/paste functions. (although he ttrainwrecked it a few times at crobar.)
and after all that, i dont mind ableton. i dont give a damn how the music is presented, but moreso that the music is actually good and not tiesto/vanburren trance shit

Re: Question for people from NYC...
I'm just getting started on vinyl and then hope to move into cds; I still would like to build a small collection of vinyl though. There are older tracks/white labels that are unavailable on juno/beatport/even slsk to dl; thats why I'll keep on buying vinyl even after I move to cds I think.
