if my hazy memory serves me correctly, adam freeland is a new artist to the GU series. you people bitch and moan about giving it to someone else then as soon as its announced you slam it.
make up your fucking minds.
Re: GU 32 Mexico City Adam Freeland
Nick Warren can make EVERY GU for all i care, love every single peice of music he plays, creates or remixes. one of a very few people whom i cannot find fault with, and i find fault with some of sasha and digger's works.....(shall we bring up "music" remix or sasha's work with tiesto.....)
Re: GU 32 Mexico City Adam Freeland
warren is doing another one? wow. doesn't he retire from making mix cd's after every mix cd he makes.
I'll be interested in hearing this though. Didn't quite get into the Singapore one. The Iceland one was sweet.

fair enough. my statement was meant for everyone btw. not just attacking you.

Agreed. I said the same thing when his next GU was announced. His mixed cds usually rock and he knows how to work the floor.
Didn't quite get into the Singapore one. The Iceland one was sweet.
Singapore was Darren Emerson which sucked.

Adam Freeland is a breaks DJ which is quite different from the GU staple. Still a boring choice though.
Re: GU 32 Mexico City Adam Freeland
Ever seen Mr. Freeland live anyone? Bet you haven't forgotten it:D
Re: GU 32 Mexico City Adam Freeland
The fella was prancing around the stage like a nutter and taking pictures.
Re: GU 32 Mexico City Adam Freeland
well the last one Warren did...
Re: GU 32 Mexico City Adam Freeland
I love how worked up people get about how shit GU is. It cracks me up!

I understand. :)

No not getting worked up. No need to get worked up over a CD, instead just move to other things. Just had to express my disappointment on its drabness as of late...:( Oh well...next. :P
Re: GU 32 Mexico City Adam Freeland
If we can get worked up over Digweed's hair, this is nothing.
Re: GU 32 Mexico City Adam Freeland
I thought we had all decided that GU wasn´t worth bothering with anymore.
Re: GU 32 Mexico City Adam Freeland
Ain't heard Freeland for awhile but I've heard he isn't playing breaks.
I'll be glad to see what's on offer and can't see the need for any complaints.
Re: GU 32 Mexico City Adam Freeland
Smells Like Freeland...:Hurl:

crappy remixes of mainstream rock songs no?
Re: GU 32 Mexico City Adam Freeland
This series has just went down the toliet. Who is next to do a gu, tommy lee?
Re: GU 32 Mexico City Adam Freeland
got to listen to the sharam gu and frankly the first cd isn't bad...it's not great but it isn't bad. there's a few songs that suck on it, but the overall feel does remind me of his afterhours toronto mix.
I know I am a minority in this but hell i'm always a minority...and damn proud of it too.

Re: GU 32 Mexico City Adam Freeland
sasha did work with tiesto???? HAHAHAHA. I guess I never found any of that stuff.
Re: GU 32 Mexico City Adam Freeland

I don't recall his Fabric CD including much of what you mention, and if he ain't playing breaks who knows what to expect...
Re: GU 32 Mexico City Adam Freeland
I think this is good news for GU. Finally someone new. I really like Freeland?s productions but haven?t heard many of his sets, so will look forward to it.
Re: GU 32 Mexico City Adam Freeland
Don´t worry guys, i´m going to be at the recording of Freeland GU032, Mexico City @ Continental. It´s this friday (January 19th). Can´t wait!
You´ll read the scoop!
Re: GU 32 Mexico City Adam Freeland
freelands sets are usually filled with commercial crap from what i remember.. only thing ive ever heard from him that is good is this: Adam Freeland - Live in Ibiza 04-08-2001.mp3 Hopefully this compilation is decent but i have pretty low expectations =x
Re: GU 32 Mexico City Adam Freeland
I doubt this will be on my purchase list.
Re: GU 32 Mexico City Adam Freeland
why do I read this thread and get the funny feeling that changing a few names would make this a legitimate thread on U.S. Politics?

Re: GU 32 Mexico City Adam Freeland
^
Say, hypothetically, GU was actually America. There are dozens of posts about why the current leader (the latest person tapped to release a GU) is not good enough to do represent this style of music (or ideology). Other posters say that other people are better suited to do the job. And yet others say they quite enjoy the person that has been chosen. If you replaced "adam freeland" with "george bush" and "nick warren" with "bill clinton".....maybe that'll help
ANYWAYS....just something that I thought of while reading this thread.....
Re: GU 32 Mexico City Adam Freeland
I admit ive been calling for new talent but Adam Freeland????????
will be interesting to see how he adapts (if he does) to a GU CD.
Re: GU 32 Mexico City Adam Freeland
Fuckin A....I knew about this but it bothers me that they chose Adam Freeland to do it for Mexico....so long its been rumored about Mexico City getting a GU, back in 2003 they said it was gonna be Sasha....and now that its basically true, they choose Freeland? WTF?? the crowd deserves a bigger name than that.
get Pappa to do that GU...he always tares it up in Mexico and he loves it!
