Re: OK does anyone here not do Drugs?

Living in Vegas makes it difficult to avoid "the drug circle" Drugs are not neccessary, but can be a hell of a lot of fun in a Bill Hicks/Hunter S.Thompson sort of way But as a lifestyle: junkie, tweeker, pharmie, cokehead or worst of all crackhead, the shit just dominates your life until that's all there is left. Recreational drugtaking should be with your good friends as primitive bonding ritual, something to laugh about as the years pass, Unnnkay.

If I'm going to see Diggers or the Man it's nice to ramp up the disco biscuits, just to hit those brain cells that recall those dancefloor moments they seem so readily deliver But working and partying nonstop is a lot easier in your twenties. I can't even handle a christmas party hangover from hell, anymore But luckily there's ol MS to wank away on until things get better

Re: OK does anyone here not do Drugs?

It' been about 12 years for me. I don't need them to get into the music!

#767024Post 8 of 189

Re: OK does anyone here not do Drugs?

dont do much any more- pot is a given, but really only get really "wankered" maybe once or twice a year. . . if that. I have kids now and would rather spend time with them than be a junkie.

was a junkie for along time, but then realized all i knew is drugs. had no other skills or knowledge of anything not related to art, music and drugs. that's when i decided the formula to the perfect buzz wasnt going to make me rich.

as far as listening to music, there is no better way to listen to northern exposure! i personally do not feel like i have to be smashed to enjoy the music i listen to, but it does sound more intense depending on your state of consciousness.

Re: OK does anyone here not do Drugs?

ummm yea...

alcohol is my drug of choice. and that's about it.

Done a couple of hits on the bong before...and unless it was the cheap shit, it did nothing for me...and even had some friends do the harder stuff, but on recreational usage only. But for me, that don't do it...rather not anyway.

In my (rough) area at least, I know now where the pot came from

GREENFIELD, Mass. Police have busted what they are calling a one (m) million dollar marijuana growing operation in Greenfield. Acting on a tip, police went to a building on Newell Pond Road yesterday where they found the pot.Police say it was a highly sophisticated operation with high-pressure sodium grow lights and cultivation materials. They found 120 plants, ranging from seedlings to some plants ten-feet tall.Captain John Newton says the growing operation may have been going on for ten years.Police arrested 56-year-old Donald Hale of Ashburnham yesterday when he came to check on the building.Hale is charged with cultivation and intent to distribute marijuana. The owner of the building may also face charges.

Good to hear alchohol acknowledged as a drug!! This is a particular issue with me. [says she getting on her soapbox:lol:]

My drug of choice is ecstacy . So yes, I can say I do drugs, but what I find strange is how hard that was to write and yet people are quite happy to say they get pissed every night. Acording to a particular study done in the UK recently achohol is much more dangerous than E . I can post it if anyone can be bothered reading it.:) I drink very little, mainly because of the side effects I get, headaches, nausea, disturbed sleep patterns, all this on 1-2 glasses of wine.! Jeez if you read these symptoms on the side of a packet you might hesitate to partake:lol:

I consider myself very moderate and I hate it that I get labeled for taking 1 little pill when I go out rather than a couple of gallons of booze. If ever I get hassled it always seems to be by drunks. !!

Re the music, if you have to take something to appreciate the music, it's crap music!!

I love my music :D

#767100Post 21 of 189

Re: OK does anyone here not do Drugs?

All in moderation. You just gotta know when enough is enough though. I have an addictive personality and i tried to stay away from harder drugs until recently but i only do stuff the odd time.

Re: OK does anyone here not do Drugs?

I don't do much anymore a few times a year. But there's no escaping the fact that some drugs change your perception of sound. And a brilliant album can sound even better under the influence. If you remember when the hacienda opened in the early 80s now one used to go there. It was only after the availability of MDMA the place took off. Most people i know didnt get into the music first

I got into the music first, but music has always been really important to me and I only discovered mdma about 4 years ago.

I don't think it's because you hear it better so much as you feel it better. But maybe it varies from individual to individual. I know for some reason I was really enjoying my music last night at home and I was stone cold sober in every respect.!

Mr.Big Do you consider mdma is a hard drug??

#767115Post 24 of 189

Re: OK does anyone here not do Drugs?

Didi i guess i would say MDMA is a harder drug along the lines of coke aswell. Ive only ever had one bad experience with the drug but enough that i remember it. When i mean harder drugs im not talkin bout crack or heroin, thats just getting into the junkie zone.

#767116Post 25 of 189

Re: OK does anyone here not do Drugs?

Nope. Never have done, never will do. Kind of hard to describe, but myself and my close circle of friends have just never even been curious about it let alone tried it. Hell none of us even smoke!

The only time I've even SEEN drugs was in Ibiza in about 1998 when a dealer knocked on our hotel door selling some pills. And that's it.

Good call from DIDI about alcohol being a drug - it's the worst of all and costs us all the most indirectly.

#767121Post 26 of 189

Re: OK does anyone here not do Drugs?

All ive ever needed has been Alcohol. im mad enouigh with just that - and has been known on many occasions that ive outdanced my pilled up mates in some seedy club at 9am :D

Was spiked once 4/5 years back - that wasnt fun. Put me off pills even more.

People can do what they like - just dont push it onto me thanks

Re: OK does anyone here not do Drugs?

The odd blow out every now and then never hurt no one and like I said in another thread... everything in moderation.

Re: OK does anyone here not do Drugs?

Re: OK does anyone here not do Drugs?

^^ and dibec :p

yea shit like heroin is just a self-invitation to hell. You're on it from the first try, coke can become like that..... as long as you dont physically or mentally addict yourself to it, like Mikey says.... most in moderation is cool. But then again.... I'm watchful of anything man-made (especially in a lab).

Herbs are it ;) - I know cookie man scoobie doo will back me up on this

Re: OK does anyone here not do Drugs?

drugs, me like but me do not do too often.

as said before, moderate is the way to do it pot is not for me, I go too stupid but rest is fun With the rest, and even with alcohol, I literraly go 4 year old in a playground when I'm in a club - you have to see it to believe it, It is easier to get into the music but that does not mean that I can not without. it is fun to do it with friends but I think it remains a personnal decision and a fuck up can only be blamed on you. last but not least = drugs are dangerous and I hate people saying they are not. it is true it helps to understand what they do and how they affect you - but down the line, you are burning something quicker.

I've had several nights out playing or at the club where I drink water. So it can be done OK.

I do find most people you're with are cooler these days...if they're passing around stuff and you say "no" it's fine...maybe now because they realize it's more for them
