Just saw him last night...I was curious to see what he would play granted that electro seems to have infected a great number of djs' sets these days. There was no electro in his set, but at the same time there was a bit of a commercial vibe to it. It was worth to go see him but I dont see why he got rated so high on the DJ poll, much less why he was the #1 house dj in it.

Re: DJ Dan

the last time i saw him he was decent nothing fantastic ... he must have some serious fans hidden in some corner of the world to do the voting

Re: DJ Dan

He's been around for ages and is always touring across the US it seems. I do have to admit though, his set at Ultrafest in the house tent was the best one there.

Re: DJ Dan

But if he get the general crowd on his side, and he's american, that's a lot of voters

Re: DJ Dan

he plays those massive parties at huge arenas for all ages where the music played is mostly trance and dnb..with that said ticket to go are like 50 bucks, i dont really like that scene anymore.

Re: DJ Dan

I saw him in Montreal back in June, it was good, not quite great. IMO he defies the conventional genres that so many DJs are apparently required to follow, Dan has his own sound and can work a crowd.

Re: DJ Dan

i saw him a few weeks ago also. & played the best set i have heard from him in a few years. like the type of stuff that has been on his cds lately.

he usually played a bunch of old remixes, nothing special.
