I will be in L.A. for a week in the Hermosa beach area. Where can I pick up some vinyl? Looking for Prog, tribal etc.

Thanks,

J-Mo.

Re:: Records stores in L.A.

yea, most stores are gone, there is 2-3 left on Melrose but they carry mostly cheesy shitt...

There is also 1 or 2 on Cahuenga (hwood blvd) but those are mainly hip hop oriented I think.

How is Vinyl Fetish on Vermont? no good anymore?

your best bet is This is Music on Melrose in Hollywood, and I think there are two other shops within a few blocks of there but I can't rememeber exactly where. It's best to go during the day because they close at 8pm daily I think, and 11pm Wednesday or something like that. Better call first. Hermosa Beach, sounds nice. I'm only 5 minutes from there.. Enjoy the beach.

Dude... They moved to Cahuenga about a block from Amoeba and aren't what they use to be. Sad really.

Hehe Al, you've figured it out didn't ya ;) Yes, finally it looks like I'll be able to celebrate Bedrock!

Swede, it's the same store. Go there and you won't go anywhere after that...You can ask Jereme and he'll get you anything you'd need, plus he finds really good records too! I stopped buying records online since I'm going there.It's good karma anyway....supporting your local record store ;)
