dude, relax. wouldn't imagine you to take the jokes so personal. whould you feel the same way if the guy played for the Red Sox? that was serious question

Re: Plane Crashes into NYC Highrise

Re: Plane Crashes into NYC Highrise

lol, wasnt touchy, just being a wiseass.

however, even if it were a red sox player, i dont think laughing about a guy dying is even remotely respectful. he was a family man, with a 6 yr old kid, his wife and kid were on a plane and didnt even know till they landed. to me, its another child whose dad wont come home, and frankly, i find that terrible.

Re: Plane Crashes into NYC Highrise

his immediate family (dad, mom, brother) all learned of his death from the breaking news stories on tv, when his name flashed at the bottom 1972-2006. imagine the confusion they felt while watching that. terrible.

Re: Plane Crashes into NYC Highrise

Yeah, pretty crazy. I found out he's a "local" guy from my side of town. Has his home in Glendora and Him and Jason Giambi were buddies in high school (West Covina High) which is a couple of miles from my home. My work is further.

small world.

Re: Plane Crashes into NYC Highrise

i guess corys twin broth was a pro catcher in triple a and they played a trick on that time a's pitching coach Rick Peterson by having the twin go out in cory's uni and throw a side session, the a's radio announcers said it was hella funny rick had no idea what was going on, the worst part is is that he leaves behind a wife and kid, that might have been written in this thread earlyer but i did not feel like reading that far back.
